Vocelle, Attorney, appeared representing V. F. Thornton <br />and Bud Jenkins maintaining that it was necessary to keep some of <br />the old equipment in order to successfully operate their respective <br />businesses. As it was said that they were in business prior to <br />adoption of the Zoning Regulations, they were told they could <br />continue their businesses but not enlarge them. They were told <br />that they should determine the equipment reasonably necessary to <br />operate the businesses, list them and also report to the Zoning <br />Inspector when the rest of the junk cars and equipment are cleaned <br />up so that he can reinspect. They said that they could comply <br />within the thirty days allowed them. <br />The Roddenberry Brothers, operating the North_:Gifford Auto <br />Salvage, appeared before the Board in regard to the time limit <br />extended to them to clean up their operation. A Motion was made <br />by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner. Massey and <br />unanimously carried that they be allowed an extension of time to <br />appear before the Zoning Board for zoning approval of site development <br />plan and appear back before this Board on March 18 for further <br />approval. <br />Grover Fletcher, President of'the Vero Beach Jaycees, appeared <br />before the Board in regard to the unavailability of public space <br />in the Courthouse parking lot. A Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried <br />that the matter be assigned to the Attorney to the Board of County <br />Commissioners, and that he take whatever steps are necessary to <br />acquire Lots 8 and 9, Block 30, Original Town. i,r;,t p���_ , <br />Marvin Carter appeared on behalf of Gearl V. Rivenbark and <br />submitted a tentative plan of Hickory Hill Estates Subdivision. <br />The matter is being held in abeyance until the meeting of March 18; <br />in order that the County may negotiate for twenty feet additional <br />MAR 4 1970 <br />L <br />
