Hydro:^1e,r .. South Relief Canal Algal Turf Scrubber@ Pilot Program <br /> shall have a width of 1 feet and a length of 500 feet . <br /> • A Pacer (or approved equivalent) self priming centrifugal pump will be located <br /> at a station contiguous to the South Relief Canal , complete with flexible <br /> intake hose , a slotted intake manifold properly secured with ground anchors ; <br /> PVC force main with check valves , recycle return lateral with valving , <br /> sampling lateral with valving , and influent force main with 2 " ultrasonics <br /> flowmeter with totalizer . <br /> • Either a 20 , 000 gallon tank for storage of RO Concentrate , with common <br /> outlet manifold and quick disconnect and valving to intake of small centrifugal <br /> or diaphragm type pump , with propeller type flow meter and throttling valving <br /> as supplied by the Utilities Department , or a force main extending from a tap <br /> into the existing RO Concentrate force main to the Pilot Facility , to include the <br /> appropriate valving and metering units . A sufficiently sized force main will <br /> deliver RO Concentrate to the ATSTM surger . <br /> • 120V , single phase power shall be provided at influent and effluent stations <br /> as well as the two pump stations . <br /> • A temporary , 6 foot chain link fence with locked gates shall be placed around <br /> the facility . <br /> • A gravity effluent discharge line with a 2 " ultrasonics flow meter identical to <br /> that used on the influent line , for delivery and monitoring of ATSTm effluent to <br /> the downstream reaches of the South Relief Canal . <br /> • An influent sampling station and an effluent sampling station will be included <br /> and shall be designed to support operations and to house and protect two <br /> refrigerated composite automatic samplers . A third sampler , which can hold <br /> the collection bottle in ice will be used for sampling for chronic bioassays of <br /> ATSTm effluent . <br /> • ATSTM Influent will be introduced at an approximate rate of 20 gpm , and will <br /> be a 6 : 1 to 10 : 1 blend of South Canal water (= 18 . 2 gpm ) and RO <br /> Concentrate (= 1 . 8 gpm ) . <br /> • ATSTM influent and effluent samples shall be collected weekly from the <br /> influent surger reservoir and from the effluent box via two refrigerated time <br /> interval autosamplers and via grab samples for short hold time parameters . <br /> The third sampler will be used to collect 24 hr composite samples for chronic <br /> bioassay on ATSTm effluent ( See Tables 1 and 2 ) . <br /> • Bi -weekly grab samples from RO Concentrate , Canal Influent and ATSTM <br /> influent for parameter note in Tables 1 and 2 to include selected parameters <br /> presently required by Permit 31 - FL00039740 , except for bioassays . <br /> Plan of Study 7 <br />
