Consultant will review water system configurations and monitoring locations, and conduct a site <br />visit to both facilities in order to review consistency of installed equipment with water plant <br />schematic. <br />Task 3 — Identify Log Virus Credits <br />Consultant will identify log virus credits for each of the existing treatment components and <br />calculate required CT to achieve the 4 -log virus reduction. Consultant will identify indirect <br />integrity monitoring that is required to achieve at least 2 -log virus reduction for the membrane <br />treatment system and review if the elements may require additional monitoring to comply with <br />the appropriate virus reduction. Consultant will identify indirect integrity monitoring for the raw <br />water blend, considered to provide 1 -log virus reduction. <br />A required "C" will be calculated for both water treatment facilities which will provide the 4 -log <br />virus removal/ inactivation. <br />Task 4 — Submit Certification/Demonstration <br />Consultant will prepare and submit a demonstration/certification form that is consistent with the <br />FDEP's October 2009 Guidelines for 4 -log virus treatment of groundwater. The submittal will <br />consist of Cover Sheets for Demonstration of Four -Log Virus Treatment of Groundwater form (5 <br />pages), schematics, CT calculations, certification of standby equipment, proposed minimum <br />chlorine residual, monitoring plans, proposed monitoring equipment, and operating requirements. <br />One draft copy of submittal will be provided to Owner for review. Consultant will meet with <br />Owner to review submittal and incorporate comments in to submittal to FDEP. <br />Task 5 — Response to Request for Additional Information <br />Consultant will respond to one reasonable request for additional information and/or clarification <br />from FDEP. <br />SCHEDULE <br />Consultant will prepare a draft demonstration of 4 -log removal with attachments for Owner <br />review within three (3) weeks of notice to proceed. <br />FEES <br />We will provide these services in accordance with our Continuing Services Contract Agreement <br />for Professional Services dated April 7, 2007 with Indian River County. <br />The Consultant will provide professional services for Task 1 through Task 4 on a lump sum fee <br />basis as follows: <br />Task No. <br />Task <br />Task Fee <br />Task 1 <br />Prepare Water Plant Schematics (2) <br />$ 31200 <br />Task 2 <br />Review Historical Data of Water Plants <br />$ 2,800 <br />K:AWPB Civi1\Genera1\Mi11er\1ndian River County\IRCU GWR Evaluation.docx Page 2 of 3 <br />
