Our File #0770 <br /> May 10 , 2010 <br /> NON -EXCLUSIVE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING AGREEMENT <br /> CONTINUING CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> AMENDMENT #2 TO WO #12 <br /> " EXHIBIT 1 " <br /> Work Authorization # 12 , which was approved by the Board of County Commissioners , includes <br /> Engineering Services in connection with the design and construction of 3 . 0 million gallon reuse <br /> water ground storage tank and related pump station to facilitate reuse service to North Indian <br /> River County . Amendment # 1 was approved to authorize Engineering Services related to <br /> Reuse Water Alternative Services . <br /> IRCDUS staff, after reviewing the design of the Facility as completed under the original Work <br /> Order, has determined that additional features must be added to the design of the Facility in <br /> order to ensure a successful project . The incorporation of these additional features into the <br /> project ' s Construction Plans and Specifications shall require additional professional services not <br /> included in the original contract . <br /> This Amendment #2 is therefore presented to include tasks for additional professional services <br /> necessary to support remote Facility monitoring and control functions , pump station control <br /> panel upgrades , and security fencing . <br /> A brief description of the scope of services and deliverables for Work Authorization # 12 , <br /> Amendment #2 is provided below: <br /> Scope of Services <br /> I . DESIGN SERVICES <br /> Task A — Pumping and Storage Systems — <br /> Task I (A) shall be revised to include design services for the following additional features : <br /> 1 . Conduit System - It is understood the County desires to provide for Remote Facility <br /> Monitoring and Control of the pump station . In order to support that system , we shall <br /> modify our Construction Plans to illustrate the design of a 2" - inch diameter conduit from <br /> the proposed pump station to the north side of the existing Parks and Recreation <br /> building between the Facility and the Lateral G Canal . The conduit is intended to support <br /> installation of a fiber-optic cable between these two locations . The design of the conduit <br /> shall be coordinated with the IRC Telecommunications Division . It is understood that the <br /> IRC Telecommunications Division shall select and install the fiber optic cable including <br /> providing the appropriate terminations in the proposed pump station building and at the <br /> existing fiber optic panel on the Parks and Recreation Site . <br /> The conduit and fiber-optic cable installation will support the ability for the County to <br /> remotely monitor and operate the pump station . The coordination and preparation of any <br /> specifications for the programming , hardware and software modifications shall be <br /> completed by the County . <br />
