SECTION 01610 <br /> TRANSPORTATION AND HANDLING OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT <br /> F . Partial deliveries of component parts of equipment shall be clearly marked to <br /> identify the equipment , to permit easy accumulation of parts , and to facilitate <br /> assembly . <br /> G . Immediately on delivery , inspect shipment to assure : <br /> 1 . Product complies with requirements of Contract Documents and reviewed <br /> submittals . <br /> 2 . Quantities are correct . <br /> 3 . Containers and packages are intact , labels are legible . <br /> 4 . Products are properly protected and undamaged . <br /> 1 . 3 PRODUCT HANDLING <br /> A . Provide equipment and personnel necessary to handle products , including <br /> those provided by OWNER , by methods to prevent soiling or damage to <br /> products or packaging . <br /> B . Provide additional protection during handling as necessary to prevent scraping , <br /> marring or otherwise damaging products or surrounding surfaces . <br /> C . Handle products by methods to prevent bending or overstressing . <br /> D . Lift heavy components only at designated lifting points . <br /> E . Materials and equipment shall at all times be handled in a safe manner and as <br /> recommended by manufacturer or supplier so that no damage will occur to <br /> them . Do not drop , roll or skid products off delivery vehicles .
