Commissioner Massey voted for the Motion <br />and Commissioner McCullers abstained from voting, <br />Jim Collins, being approximately 75% in compliance with the <br />Zoning Regulations requested enlarging his yard by extension of his <br />fence to the rear of his property. Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas seeond--by Comms- s-ioner- Massey- and- unanimously carried -that <br />- <br />' Mr. Collins be permitted to extend his fence as lawfully permitted by <br />Zoning Regulations. <br />j� The report by Henry Allen that the fence on his property should <br />I be completed by next month was satisfactory to the Board. <br />1 . <br />The Zoning Inspector was requested to inform the owners of a <br />property at Glendale Road and Old Dixie Highway that a zoning change <br />granted them on November 10, 1969 has expired.- <br />a <br />Robert 35abis, Department of Transportation appeared on behalf <br />of W. E.. Orth and the fact that Hibiscus Airport as a public airport <br />is an asset to Indian River County and the Community. The Board <br />informed Mr..Orth that their decision on construction of the road at new <br />Hibiscus Airport would be forthcoming at the next regular meeting of <br />the Board. <br />Walter Blanton, appeared as a'representative of Indian River <br />Christian School, requesting•that his organization be able to purchase; <br />rent or lease Pleasant Ridge School. Mr. Blanton was�told'that the <br />County was not in the position to make any offer of this nature. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Dritenbas, second of Commissioner Loy, <br />the Board unanimously voted to authorize the expenditure of $12,000.00 <br />0 <br />for files and personnel to implement Florida Department of Law <br />Enforcement filing system. <br />Commissioner Dritenbas and Commissioner Massey were'appoi to <br />serve on a Committee to study expansion of the Jail and report back <br />. <br />to the Board in time for next year's budget. <br />I"J <br />/Q <br />JAN, 61971 <br />
