On Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner Massey, <br />the Board unanimously voted approval for advertisement for bids, <br />by the Administrator for the following equipment-t- <br />1 <br />quipments <br />1 New l Ton Flat Bed. Dump Truck <br />1 New h Ton Pick Up Truck <br />1 New 3/4 Ton Utility Truck -d <br />1 New 2 Ton Flat Bed Dump Truck <br />The yAclm nistr'atar- -reporte:d--that- F-irer Chief --Sol- ivan---had discussed <br />the possibility of erecting a tower on the Fire Fighting Training <br />Grounds, and requested the County to cooperate in clearing trees <br />from the area. on Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner <br />Massey, the Board unanimously voted to authorize the Administrator <br />to cooperate with the Fire Chief in developing the Training Area. <br />The Administrator reported that he had recieved phone calls <br />from Harry Butler and Doug Strickland who reported that the boat ramp <br />at the Sebastian Inland Park would be in a useable condition in ten <br />or fifteen days. <br />A report was received from Arnold Raxras, State Department of <br />Transportation, that the intersection at U. S. #1 and S. R. 510 <br />Y•, <br />does not meet the criteria for a traffic light at this time; but that <br />F.. <br />the Department of Transportation will make a restudy at the end of a <br />twelve monthperiod. <br />on Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner Massey, <br />the Board unanimously moved that, at the request and recommendation - <br />of the Big "I" Insurance Agents, the Attorney write a letter to the <br />State Insurance Commissioner requesting a public hearing in order to <br />}' <br />qualify for Windstorm Pool Insurance for the Beach Area. <br />I <br />4' <br />Commissioner Dritenbas moved that the County partake in additional <br />insurance covering break -downs on certain County Property such as: <br />fi <br />generators, steam -jennies and the central air-conditioning units, and <br />other such units as are; involved with steam and water; of which the <br />z <br />policy is to include quarterly inspections of all these units at a <br />cost of approximately $900.00 per annum. Commissioner Loy seconded <br />i <br />the Motion and Commissioners McCullers and Massey voted against the <br />Motion. Whereupon,Chairman Bogosian voted for the Motion -and the <br />FEB <br />
