The Administrator having reported that Morrison's <br />Trail was a public roadway, Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, <br />second by Commissioner McCullers, and unanimously carried that the <br />request of the Town of Indian River Shores, received on April 2, <br />that the County maintain the road to be reimbursed by the Town of <br />Indian River Shores, be approved. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner <br />McCullers,'and unanimously carried, the request of Don Karseboom, <br />Fellsmere Fire Department, that the County accept GMC truck, <br />Serial Number 308294 and place it on our insurance was granted. <br />Carlton Shaver appeared with some questions on Indian <br />River County Ordinance #71-2 and was referred to Donald Adams, <br />City -County Building Director.. <br />On Motion of Commissiorer Loy, second of Commissioner <br />McCullers, the Board unanimously authorized advertisement for <br />public hearing before the Zoning Board for a zoning change of 88 <br />acres of land to be used for a mobile home park located north of <br />the Wabasso causeway as requested by Edgar Schlitt. <br />Upon Motion of Commissioner Dritenbas, second of <br />Commissioner Loy, the Board unanimously voted that public hearing <br />on the new proposed Zoning Ordinance be advertised for public <br />hearing and that the public hearing be held on May 17 at 7:30 <br />o'clock P. M. in the Courthouse. The Board commended Ralph Sexton <br />and the other Members of the Zoning Board for their fine and <br />faithful service in preparing the Ordinance. <br />On Motion of Commissioner Dritenbas, second of <br />Commissioner Massey, the Board unanimously authorized the printing <br />6f:300 -copies of the preliminary copy of the Zoning Ordinance, which <br />Are'--to'-be stamped as preliminary and dated. <br />Sam Joyce, Sheriff, and John J. Schlitt, Jr., appeared <br />in regard to the addition to the Jail. On Motion of Commissioner <br />Dirtenbas, second of Commissioner Massey, the Board unanimously <br />approved the Owner -Architect Contract with John J. Schlitt,,Jr. <br />on the addition to the Jail at an approximate cost of $20,000.00 <br />With a �% co=ission to the architect. r °� <br />4fv 4w 21 1971 <br />
