RESOLUTION 71-28 <br />WHEREAS, M. L. (LUKE) BLUME, for many years prior to his . <br />death has served his fellowmen with unselfish devotion by assuming civic <br />and corporate responsibilities, and <br />WHEREAS, in all his endeavors, his performance has exemplified <br />a spirit of dedication and a pursuit of excellence, which has set a high <br />standard for those who aspire such positions, and <br />WHEREAS, in the past years he served as a member of the <br />Indian River County Long Range Planning Authority and also as a repres- <br />entative on the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council and his <br />performance there has been such that he was held in highest esteem and <br />respect by citizens throughout the State of Florida , and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Indian River and the entire aircraft <br />industry will grievously share the loss of this dedicated civic and <br />corporate leader, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County in regular assembled meeting <br />that on behalf of more than 37, 000 citizens of Indian River County, we <br />pay homage to our lost leader of our community, an outstanding leader , <br />a good citizen and able executive of the people of Indian River County,. we <br />express our appreciation and gratitude for the many years of faithful, <br />dedicated service to our county. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />By <br />Richard Bugosian, Chairman <br />On Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner <br />Massey, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />Commissioner McCullers, being absent, did -not vote. <br />3 <br />
