On Motion of Commissioner Massey, second of Commissioner. <br />Loy, the Board unanimously approved the reemployment of Willie <br />McGriff as Custodian and lifeguard of the Ambersand Beach. <br />Commissioner McCullers, being absent, did not vote. <br />Upom a Motion made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dritenbas, the Board unanimously approved the request <br />of the Beach Buggy Association for seven signs to be placed and <br />Installed by the Association. Commissioner McCulle rs, being absent, <br />did not vote. <br />The Board agreed to the payment of $60.00 per month <br />for inspection of air, water and steam equipment as required for <br />insurance coverage. <br />The Administrator was requested to advise Gordon Chaffee <br />that he could use the staging area for junk storage while he is <br />still working; but that the area is to be cleared when he leaves <br />the area. <br />on Motion of Commissioner Massey, second of Commissioner <br />Loy, the Board unanimously authorized the signature of the Chairman <br />on Civil Defense Citations. Commissioner McCullers, being absent, <br />did not vote. <br />Upon a Motion made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey, the Attorney was unanimously requested to <br />prepare a Resolution commending B. T. Cooksey, for his long and <br />faithful service as Deputy Civil Defense Director. Commissioner <br />McCullers, being absent, did not vote. <br />On Motion made by Commissioner Dritenbas, second by <br />Commissioner Massey, the Attorney was requested to prepare a <br />Resolution as requested by the Indian River Shellfish Association <br />to advise -,the Legislative Delegation that this Board is in favor <br />of the bill enabling Brevard and Indian River Counties to <br />temporarily omit culling procedures for the purpose of controlling <br />the oyster drill or other predators.
