<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
<br />County, Florida met in special session at the Courthouse, Vero
<br />Beach, Florida on. Wednesday, May 25, 1971 at 2:00 o'clock P. M.
<br />Present were Richard P. Bogosian, Chairman; Alma Lee Loy, Vice
<br />Chairman; D. B. Mccullers, Jr. and Jack U. Dritenbas. Absent
<br />was Edward J. Massey. Also present were Jack G. Jennings,
<br />County Administrator; George Collins, acting as Attorney to the.
<br />Board of County Commissioners; Sam Joyce, Sheriff and Janet N.
<br />Turpan, Deputy Clerk. Absent was Paul D. Burch.
<br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and explained
<br />that the meeting was called in accordance with the following
<br />public notices

<br />_ thereinafter called the "Board") for
<br />the projects hereinafter set forth at
<br />and until 7:00 P.M., E.S.T., the 75
<br />day of May 1971, in the Office of the
<br />CountyAdministrator, 14th Avenue,
<br />Vero Beach, Florida at which place
<br />and time, or as soon thereafter as
<br />the Board can attend to the same,
<br />fha said bids will be publicly opened
<br />and read. The Board will thereafter
<br />make the award of the contract,
<br />based upon the result of the
<br />tabulations, as covered by ap.

<br />form of contract, instructions to
<br />bidders and all other bidding and
<br />contract data may be obtained from.
<br />the Office of John J. Schlitt, Jr.,
<br />AIA, Architect, 7110 5th Avenue,
<br />Vero Beach, Florida, on and after.
<br />May 10, 1971. A deposit of 525.00 each
<br />will be required, refundable if said
<br />plans and documents are returned in
<br />_good order within 10 days after the -
<br />award of the contract.
<br />All bids must be submitted on forms
<br />prescribed by the Board and ac-
<br />coinpanied by one of the following:
<br />A certified check, cashier's -check,
<br />or a bid bond. If a bid bond is sub-
<br />mitted, it must be accompanied by a
<br />"Power of Attorney" for the rep-
<br />resentative of the Bonding Com-
<br />pany.
<br />The certified check, cashier's check
<br />or bid bond shall be in the amount of
<br />S per centum of the base bid, con-
<br />ditioned that 'it awarded the cont
<br />•
<br />ract, the bidder will within the time
<br />specified by the Board, enter into a
<br />contract in accordance with the
<br />accepted bid. in form prescribed by
<br />the Board, and give a Performance
<br />Bond satisfactory to the Attorney for
<br />the Board equal to 100 per centum of
<br />the contract price.
<br />All bidders are requested to call at
<br />the Office of the Secretary of the
<br />Board for the return Certified Check,
<br />Cashier's check, or Bid Bond. which:
<br />will be made available to Bidders in
<br />accordance with the instructions to
<br />Bidders in the specifications.
<br />The Board reserves the right to
<br />Waive informalities and to reject
<br />any and all bids.
