Sector 3 Beach & Dune Restoration Project Attachment l to Change Order No . 1 <br /> 5 On Call The ENGINEER will be continuously on call during the period of construction for <br /> the purpose of making decisions regarding_ issues that involve QC/QA Plan compliance . <br /> 6 Addendums Any addendum or change order to the Contract between the Permittee and the <br /> CONTRACTOR will be evaluated to determine whether or not the change in scope will <br /> potentially affect the QC\QA Plan . <br /> Vl . Contractor ' s Quality Control-Plan <br /> The CONTRACTOR' s Quality Control Plan shall be submitted for review and acceptance by the <br /> ENGINEER consistent with the Technical Specifications . This Plan shall also address sediment <br /> quality assurance by including : ( l ) the specific sampling frequency and testing methodology to <br /> be provided proposed by the CONTRACTOR, (2 ) the name , address and point of contact for the <br /> THIRD PARTY Licensed Testing Laboratory to be used for the required collection of samples <br /> and . . 4e the „' a „ ^tum laboratory testing , and (3 ) how the CONTRACTOR intends to assess <br /> compliance with the sand standards of acceptance as described in Section IV — above , including <br /> an Acceptance Section Form . oriseof ther�efe-seufE , ' positkrirb a„ d <br /> VI1 . Contractor' s Sampling and Assessment Protocol <br /> A . FDEP Sand Rule Compliance <br /> 1 . Sample frequency — Sampling of the processed sand proposed to be <br /> placed on the beach shall be conducted at the upland mines by the THIRD <br /> PARTY before the material is transported to the Construction Access/Staging <br /> Areas The sampling frequency at the mine shall be for every 3 , 000 cubic yards of <br /> fill or a minimum of once per week whichever occurs first . At the beach fill area. <br /> Sand Rule compliance sampling shall be conducted after each 500 foot- long <br /> segment of beach by the THIRD PARTY for which fill placement is completed <br /> and otherwise ready for acceptance by the ENGINEER Acceptance bye <br /> ENGINEER shall be subject to compliance with the requirements identified in <br /> this Plan . <br /> 2 . Testing methodology - At the mine , the THIRD PARTY shall collect one <br /> sample from the middle of the processed sand stockpile no less than 6 inches <br /> below the surface . At the beach fill area, tThe THIRD PARTY Gn,. T A r rnn <br /> shall collect two samples of fill — one at the tope of dune and one at the mid- berm <br /> =after each 500 foot- long segment of beach fill placement is completed . The <br /> location of the samples shall be clearly identified using FDEP Reference <br /> Monument stations and half stations , i . e . R-20 , R- 20 . 5 etc . T :ve Beach fill <br /> samples shall be obtained from a depth of no less than 6 inches below the <br /> surfaceal tke mid >, en:n .
