The foregoing letter having been received, and Members <br />of the General Development Corporation, being present, the County <br />Administrator presented a final plat of a Subdivision known.as <br />Vero Beach Highlands Subdivision, Unit #5 and recommended its final <br />approval as meeting County Subdivision Requirements. Upon Motion <br />made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner Dritenbas, the <br />Board unanimously accepted the proposal of General Development Corporation <br />as presented in their letter of June 7, 1971, points 1 through 6, and <br />point 8 subject to the County Administrator's finalization that they <br />meet Subdivision Requirements and that point 7 be denied as presented <br />subject to satisfactory arrangements regarding the bond by the Administrator <br />and the Board. commissioner McCullers, being absent, did not vote. <br />Mr. Wallace, Chairman; Mrs. Taylor, Vice Chairman;and <br />other members of the Rockridge Property Owners Association appeared <br />before the Board in regard to vandalism in Rockridge. No action was <br />taken by the Board. <br />Donald Adams, City -County. Building Inspector, advised <br />the Board that there is a 1964 Ford Falcon in his. department which <br />might need to be replaced at any time. <br />The Board then adjourned at 12:15 P. M. and reconvened at <br />1:40 o'clock P. M. <br />On Motion of commissioner Dritenbas, second of Commissioner <br />Loy, the Board unanimously accepted the bid of Netto Construction <br />Company in the amount of $21,729.00 of the bid opening of May 25 <br />as the lowest and best bid in the construction of the addition to the <br />jail. Commissioner.McCullers, being absent, did.not vote. <br />.The Attorney reported that tax certificates were sold on <br />property which is partially under Federal ownership. It was the <br />belief that these certificates should be voided and the monies returned <br />to the purchaser. No action was taken by the Board. <br />The Attorney reported on the Chenoweth tax matter at <br />Sebastian Inlet Park. <br />The Attorney reported that new legislation has passed <br />that the counties will receive the entire 7th cent gas tax. <br />JINN 9.1971 8001 14 PAGEZU1 <br />�m <br />
