funds to provide programming to the citrus industry in both Counties . <br /> 3 . ST. - LUCIE RESPONSIBILITIES , St . Lucie' s responsibilities hereunder shall be <br /> as follows : <br /> A. Employ Multi-County Citrus Agent ( "Agent" ) pursuant to agreement with <br /> Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences ( " IFAS" ), University of Florida . <br /> The Agent shall be subject to tf a same policies and benefits as may be <br /> applicable to other St . Lucie no - bargaining unit employees . A copy of <br /> the job description for the Agent is attached hereto and incorporated <br /> herein as Exhibit "A." The Indian River County Extension Director shall <br /> participate in the selection process for the Agent . <br /> Be On or before June 1, 2014 and each June 1st thereafter, St . Lucie County <br /> shall notify Indian River County Iof the amount of the annual cost of the <br /> salary for the Citrus Agent for the upcoming fiscal year. The amount of <br /> Indian River County' s contribution shall not In by more than three <br /> percent ( 3%) over the contribution for the previous fiscal year. At the <br /> end of each quarter, St . Lucie County shall provide to Indian River County <br /> a summary of the salary expenses actually incurred during such quarter. <br /> 4 . INDIAN RIVER RESPONSIBILITIES. <br /> A. The parties acknowledge and; agree that the Indian River County <br /> Extension Director participatedli in the selection of the current Agent . <br /> The Indian River Extension Director shall participate in the selection of <br /> any subsequent Agent . The Indian River County Extension Director shall <br /> also participate in the OF/ IFAS iannual evaluation process of the Citrus <br /> Agent . <br /> Be For Fiscal Year 2012-2013, Indian River County shall contribute eleven <br /> thousand and 00/100 dollars ( 11,000:00 ) to St .Lucie County towards <br /> the local share of thesalary. of the Agent . Payment shall be due within <br /> thirty ( 30) days of the effective date of this Agreement . For subsequent <br /> fiscal years, Indian River Count shall contribute to St . Lucie County an <br /> amount equal to forty-seven percent (47% ) of the local share of the <br /> salary of the Agent . Such payments shall be made on a quarterly basis <br /> in arrears, during the fiscal year being funded and shall be equal to <br /> forty-seven percent (47%) of the amount indicated in the quarterly <br /> summary provided by St. Lucie County. if the salary of the Agent is not <br /> incurred for any portion of the fiscal year, because of a vacancy in the <br /> Agent position or otherwise, Indian River County's obligation shall be <br /> reduced accordingly. <br /> 2 <br />
