Gladys Vigliano, County Welfare Director, appeared <br />in regard to a letter from Roy Howard, principal of Douglas <br />Elementary School, in regard to a family with constant medical <br />expenses. After some discussion, it was decided that the family <br />had sufficient income to sustain themselves. <br />Upon a Motion made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dritenbas, the following Resolution was unanimously <br />adopted: <br />RE S GLUT I ON 71-64 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida_recognizev the need for Comprehensive <br />County Planning,. -.and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is by resolution a <br />member of the Vero Beach -Indian River County Planning Commission <br />which purpose is -to do comprehensive planning. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County does hereby approve and <br />authorize the Vero Beach -Indian River County Planning Commission <br />making application for federal planning assistance grant, in <br />amount not to exceed the approved budget, and to enter into contract <br />with the State and Federal government to complete a comprehensive <br />plan as hereinafter described. <br />Duly executed this 22nd day of December, 1971. <br />ATTEST (Clerk) <br />Chairman <br />DEC 2 2 1971 <br />
