the cost of such foreign materials does not exceed 0.1 % of the total Contract amount or <br />$2,500, whichever is greater. These requirements are applicable to all steel and iron <br />materials incorporated into the finished work, but are not applicable to steel and iron <br />items that the Contractor uses but does not incorporate into the finished work. Provide <br />a certification from the producer of steel or iron, or any product containing steel or iron <br />as a component, stating that all steel or iron furnished or incorporated into the furnished <br />product was manufactured in the United States in accordance with the requirements of <br />this specification and the Buy America provisions of 23 CFR 635.410, as amended. <br />Such certification shall also include (1) a statement that the product was produced <br />entirely within the United States, or (2) a statement that the product was produced <br />within the United States except for minimal quantities of foreign steel and iron valued at <br />$ (actual value). Furnish each such certification to the Engineer prior to incorporating <br />the material into the project. When FHWA allows the use of foreign steel on a project, <br />furnish invoices to document the cost of such material, and obtain the Engineer's <br />written approval prior to incorporating the material into the project. <br />SECTION - 101 -MOBILIZATION <br />The work specified in this section shall conform to Section 101 of the Florida Department of <br />Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. (2010 Edition) <br />Item of Payment <br />Payment for the work specified in this item shall be made under: <br />Bid Item No. 101-1 - Mobilization - Lump Sum <br />SECTION - 102 -MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC <br />The work specified in this item shall conform to Section 102 of the Florida Department of <br />Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (2010 Edition), <br />except as modified herein. <br />A. GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />-DESCRIPTION: The work specified in this Section <br />consists of maintaining traffic within the limits %J the project for the duration of the <br />construction period, including any temporary suspensions of the work. It shall <br />include the construction and maintenance of any necessary detour facilities; the <br />providing of necessary facilities for access to residences, businesses, etc., along <br />the project; the furnishing, installing and maintaining of traffic control and safety <br />devices during construction, the control of dust through the use of calcium chloride if <br />necessary, and any other special requirements for safe and expeditious movement <br />of traffic as may be called for on the plans. The term, Maintenance of Traffic, as <br />used herein, shall include all of such facilities, devices and operations as are <br />required for the safety and convenience of the public as well as for minimizing public <br />nuisance; all as specified in this Itemized Section 14 of these provisions and <br />Paragraph 24 in General Conditions Section, <br />B.
