Ripon being put to a vote same was recorded as follows: <br />Yeas: Hamilton <br />Yo ngue <br />He leeth <br />Kayss XABruce <br />Atkin. <br />Certified copy of resolution of the Board of Public Instructions requesting that <br />the tax levy for interest & sinking funds for sipecial School Bistrict Ho. 11 be reduced <br />from.. 23 mills to 15 mills was received and read. It was moved by Commissioner Hamilton <br />seconded by Commissioner Atkin that the resolution be tabled until, the next meeting. <br />County Agent w.E.Evans, filed his monthly report of activities. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that any foreman, overseer or other person in <br />charge of aby public work under the direction and supervision of- the County be required <br />to make full and complete report of any and all accidents occuring on the job, together <br />with statement of physician, if any is called. This precaution being taken as a matter <br />of protection to all parties. <br />It was moved, seconded and varried that the bill of Redstone Lumber & %pply Co., <br />a corporation, against the Road & Bridge rand for .57.79 be returned to them with advice <br />that the County attorney advises it constitutes an unlawful claim against the County, <br />and is unlawful to pay the same. <br />%he Errors and insoljveneies report of the Uounty Tax Collector, for the year 1927 <br />was received and carefully checked over, and found to be in order, same was approved by <br />the Board by each member endorsing his name thereon. Said list shows a total of <br />$2,415.32 .Mate taxes and a total of 024,971.06 County taxes. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that County Engineer construct in special goad <br />& Bridge District No. 4, Two miles of road on Osceola Boulevard west of Vero Beach, <br />an 18 foot penitration road instead of 9 foot rock road if the property owners agree to <br />this change* tach work to be done when funds in the I)istrict are available. <br />The wage scale for laborers on Road and Bridge work, as presented by the County <br />Engineer was approved by the Board. <br />The Tax Collector appeared before the Board requesting more room for his office. <br />It was o rde red he be given room 13 and two adjoining rooms. <br />Itvwas ordered the county* Engineer dispose of Ford Truck which is of no further <br />use to the County. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County having been audited, were examined <br />and found to be correct, and same were duly approved by the Board of County Cormmissionerss <br />and. warrants were ordered issued in settlement of same. The said warrants so issued in <br />settlement of the bills and accounts beim listed completely in the County Finance <br />Record as provided by law, and reference to. said County Finance Record is made a part of <br />the minutes as fully and completely as if the said warrants were set out herein in detail <br />The County vepositories filed their monthly statements showing receipts and dis- <br />bureements, which having been checked were found to be correct. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board <br />adj ourned. <br />ATTEST: Chai rman <br />// <br />C 1 e rk. <br />j <br />
