Managing Director Indian River County — Solid Waste Disposal District 132574 1h Avenue SW Vero Beach, Florida 32968 Subject: Construction Schedule Extension Class I Vertical Expansion and Partial Closure Project Dear Mr. Mehta: Please see the attached file that summarizes the events that contributed to the fifteen -day extension of the project schedule from October 1, 2009 to October 16, 2009. It is noted that there are several minor final walk through items that will be addressed this week as provided by Rick I lastie of Geosyntee Construction Quality Assurance Site Manager. I lowever, per contract terms, the project was complete on October 16, 2009 and equipment demobilization was complete. The remaining small items will be addressed by labor or subcontractor vendor, it'necessary. The attached summary indicates that eleven work days were added to the contract schedule to complete the approved change order work. Furthermore, four work days were added to the contract schedule to compensate for the unfinished work due to excessive rain events during the contract period (June -September 2009). Although other factors such as excessively moist soil provided from on site borrow also contributed to work schedule challenges, added days to the schedule were not quantified.
