2/6/87 <br />ibmird <br />LR -Planning <br />RS/vh <br />ORDINANCE NO. 87-19 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />THE LAND USE, DRAINAGE, AND TRANSPORTATION ELEMENTS OF <br />THE COUNTY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, AND CREATING AN <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ELEMENT; PROVIDING FOR ENLARGING <br />THE 50 ACRE COMMERCIAL NODE AT OSLO ROAD AND 27TH <br />AVENUE TO 58 ACRES, INCREASING THE ALLOWABLE <br />RESIDENTIAL DENSITIES ON SPECIFIC PROPERTIES, <br />DECREASING THE ALLOWABLE RESIDENTIAL DENSITIES ON <br />SPECIFIC PROPERTIES IN THE WINTER BEACH AREA, CHANGING <br />THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL <br />FOR SPECIFIC PROPERTIES, ESTABLISHING LAND USE DESIG- <br />NATIONS FOR PROPERITES DETACHED FROM THE TOWN OF <br />ORCHID, ENACTING A COMPREHENSIVE AMENDMENT TO THE <br />DRAINAGE ELEMENT, AND AMENDING THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS <br />PROGRAM SECTION OF THE TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE <br />DATE, <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes, requires that <br />local governments prepare and adopt Comprehensive Plans, and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has adopted a <br />Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Florida Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, Florida Statutes provide for the amendment of <br />Comprehensive Plans twice per calender year; and <br />WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Commission, sitting as the <br />local planning agency, has held public hearings and made <br />recommendations concerning these amendments, and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has held public <br />hearings at which parties in interest and citizens were allowed to <br />be heard, and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has determined <br />that these amendments are consistent with the general spirit and <br />intent of the County's Comprehensive Plan; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the <br />Comprehensive Plan of Indian River County, Florida, and the <br />accompanying Land Use Map, be amended as follows: <br />SECTION 1 <br />The Land Use Map of the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive <br />Plan is hereby amended by redesignating the following described <br />property from AG, Agricultural, to LD -1, Low -Density Residential <br />1. <br />i <br />
