ORDINANCE NO. 87- 19 <br />6.1.3 Explore possible federal or state funding assistance <br />programs for capital improvements to the water and <br />wastewater facilities. <br />7. GOAL: Ensure that Adequate, Affordable Housing is Available <br />for the County's Citizens <br />Objectives: <br />7.1 Create incentives to encourage the provision of <br />affordable housing. <br />7.2. Determine how much of the County's housing stock has <br />restrictions (e.g. age, children, income) imposed on <br />them. <br />7.3. Support the pursuit of federal and state funding for <br />low-cost housing. <br />Strategies/Policies: <br />7.1.1 Designate some land for housing which would allow for <br />higher allowable densities. <br />7.1.2 Direct higher residential densities to areas with <br />necessary utilities to reduce costs per unit and <br />thereby provide more affordable housing. <br />7.2.1 Inventory the types'of housing, available, including <br />rental units and mobile home parks, and list the <br />restrictions which are imposed. <br />7.3.1 Encourage local lending institutions to sponsor <br />affordable mortgage programs. <br />7.3.2 Investigate the possibility of establishing a County <br />housing finance authority. <br />8. GOAL: Facilitate Coordination and Cooperation Among the <br />Governmental Jurisdictions and Other Public/Private <br />Agencies <br />Strategies/Policies: <br />8.1.1 Involve interested parties in any economic development <br />project so that all entities are property represented. <br />8.1.2 Disseminate any new information to those groups who <br />are most responsible for, implementing the various <br />economic development projects. <br />The existing Transportation Capital Improvements Program on <br />pages 79, 79.1, and 79.2 of the Traffic Circulation Element of the <br />Comprehensive Plan is hereby repealed in its entirety and a new <br />Transportation Capital Improvements Program is hereby adopted as <br />follows: <br />
