LNL Ll%i1 Vl 1LNL.L LY L%1 VJJ % VVVLYII, 1 LV.L1 ✓aa, au iar a.✓�&vv iaaL <br />LAND USE AND TRANSPORTATION ELEMENTS OF THE COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN, ENLARGING THE COMMERCIAL NODE AT S.R. 60 AND KINGS <br />HIGHWAY FROM 160 ACRES TO 165 ACRES; ESTABLISHING A MIXED <br />USE DISTRICT ON THE EAST SIDE OF U.S. 1 SOUTH OF 35TH <br />STREET; ADDING SECONDARY COLLECTOR ROADS TO THE COUNTY'S <br />THOROUGHFARE PLAN IN THE AREA NORTH OF C.R. 512 AND EAST OF <br />I-95; DELETING 43RD AVENUE BETWEEN 53RD STREET AND 69TH <br />STREET FROM THE THOROUGHFARE PLAN AND THE TRANSPORTATION <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM; RECLASSIFYING 43RD AVENUE AS A <br />SECONDARY COLLECTOR STREET BETWEEN 53RD STREET AND 57TH <br />STREET; AND PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />.WHEREAS, Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes requires that <br />local governments prepare and adopt Comprehensive Plans; and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has adopted a <br />Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Florida Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, Florida Statutes provide for the amendment of <br />Comprehensive Plans twice per calender year, and <br />WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Commission, sitting as the <br />local planning agency, has held public hearings and made <br />recommendations concerning these amendments, and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has held public <br />hearings at which parties in interest and citizens were allowed <br />to be heard; and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners has determined <br />that these amendments are consistent with the general spirit and <br />intent of the County's Comprehensive Plan, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, and the <br />accompanying Land Use Map, be amended as follows: <br />SECTION 1 <br />The section entitled "S.R. 60 and Kings Highway to 43rd <br />Avenue" found on Page 36 of the Land Use Element of the <br />Comprehensive Plan is hereby amended as follows: <br />CODING: Words in stri ittlaria type are deletions from existing <br />law.
