AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR A COMPREHENSIVE AMEND- <br />MENT TO THE COUNTY'S ZONING ATLAS BY CONVERTING THE ZONING <br />DISTRICTS DEPICTED ON THE ATLAS TO NEW DISTRICTS DESCRIBED <br />IN APPENDIX A OF THE CODE OF. LAWS AND ORDINANCES, KNOWN AS <br />THE ZONING CODE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COUNTY'S COMPREHEN- <br />SIVE LAND USE PLAN; PROVIDING FOR EXCEPTIONS TO THE CONVER- <br />SION TABLE; REPEALING SECTION 41 A, AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT; <br />SECTION 18, B-1, PLANNED BUSINESS DISTRICT; SECTION 18.1, <br />MED, MEDICAL DISTRICT; SECTION 19, C -1A, RESTRICTED COMMER- <br />CIAL DISTRICT; SECTION 20, C-1, COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; SECTION <br />20.1, C-2, HEAVY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; SECTION 21, LM -1, <br />LIGHT MANUFACTURING DISTRICT; AND SECTION 22, M-1, RESTRICT- <br />ED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; <br />SEVERABILITY; REPEAL OF CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; AND EFFEC- <br />TIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County has adopted a Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Ordinance <br />#82-21, pursuant to Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes requires that <br />all future development be consistent with the County's adopted <br />Comprehensive Land Use Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing zoning of many areas of the County is <br />not in conformance with the County's adopted Comprehensive Land <br />Use Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 16, 1985, the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners adopted fourteen new residential zoning districts to <br />specifically implement the provisions of the County's adopted <br />Comprehensive Land Use Plan, and <br />WHEREAS, on July 24, 1985, the Board of County Commissioners <br />adopted eight new nonresidential zoning districts to specifically <br />implement .the provisions of the County's adopted Comprehensive <br />Land Use Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, a table has been prepared to convert the existing <br />nonresidential, and some residential zoning districts depicted on <br />the zoning atlas to the new nonresidential and residential zoning <br />districts; and <br />0 <br />
