The two largest sources <br />within this category are the Local Government One -Half Cent Sales <br />Tax and State Revenue Sharing. <br />In fiscal year 1989-98 1991-92, the One -Half Cent Sales Tax <br />accounted for 3471 32.2% of the total revenue collected from the <br />'Intergovernmental' category. State Revenue Sharing accounted for <br />1977 17.9% of the revenue. <br />The balance of the revenue received consisted of Insurance Agent <br />Fees, Race Track Taxes, Constitutional Gas Taxes, County Gas Taxes <br />and other miscellaneous revenues. <br />Charges for Services <br />This revenue is derived mainly from court fees, property appraiser <br />fees, charges for recording of legal instruments, revenues from the <br />sale of maps and publications, library related fees and other <br />miscellaneous fees or charges. As shown in Table 13.21 this <br />category generated a total revenue of $3;428.-266 5,549,919 in <br />fiscal year 1989-98 1991-92. <br />Fines and Forfeitures <br />This revenue consists of court fines, revenue from the sale of <br />confiscated property, police education fines, library fines and <br />fines for violations of local county ordinances. As Table 13.2 <br />indicates, this category generated a total revenue of $6267632 <br />683,646 in fiscal year 1989-98 1991-92. <br />Interest and Miscellaneous <br />Revenue from this category is derived mostly from interest earned. <br />In fiscal year 1989-98 1991-92, 4671 37.1% of the revenue in this <br />category came from earned interest. <br />The remainder of the revenue generated from this category consists <br />of county rents and royalties, special assessments, contributions, <br />reimbursements and other miscellaneous revenue. In fiscal year <br />1989-98 1991-92, the county received a total of $i878887299 <br />10,047,252 of revenue from this category as indicated in Table <br />13.2. <br />Enterprise Funds <br />Enterprise funds are funds which pay for the cost of their <br />operations and capital improvements from user fees/charges and do <br />not receive funding from general county revenues.
