ORDINANCE NO. 94- 25 <br />attached to a legal description of the affected <br />property. <br />(iZ The Community Development Director shall <br />maintain the records of all appeal actions and <br />shall report any variances to the FEMA Region IV <br />Office. <br />G. Chapter 901 is hereby amended by adding the following <br />definitions (in alphabetical sequence): <br />"Addition (to an existing building)", for purposes of <br />County Code Chapter 930 relating to flood protection, means <br />any walled and roofed expansion to the perimeter of a <br />building in which the addition is connected by a common <br />load-bearinq wall other than a fire wall. Any walled and <br />roofed addition which is connected by a fire wall or is <br />separated by independent perimeter load-bearing walls is <br />new construction. <br />"Appeal", for purposes of County Code Chapter 930 relating <br />to flood protection, means a request for a review of the <br />interpretation by the Community Development Director of any <br />provision of this ordinance or a request for a variance. <br />"Area of shallow flooding" means a designated AO or VO Zone <br />on a Community Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) with base <br />flood depths from one to three feet, where a clearly <br />defined channel does not exist, where the path of flooding <br />is unpredictable and indeterminate, and where velocity flow <br />may be evident. <br />"Area of <br />floodplai <br />areater c <br />Special <br />n within <br />Flood Hazard" is the land in the <br />a communit <br />subject to a one <br />anv Given year. <br />"Elevated building" means a non -basement building built to <br />have the lowest floor elevated above the ground level by <br />means of fill, solid foundation perimeter walls, pilings, <br />columns (posts and piers), shear walls, or breakaway walls. <br />"Existing construction", for purposes of County Code <br />Chapter 930 relating to flood protection, means any <br />structure for which the "start of construction" commenced <br />before July 3, 1978. <br />"Existing manufactured home park or subdivision" for <br />purposes of County Code Chapter 930 relating to flood <br />protection, means a manufactured home park or subdivision <br />for which the manufactured homes are be to affixed <br />(including at a minimum the installation of utilities, the <br />"Expansion to an existing manufactured home park or <br />subdivision", for purposes of County Code Chapter 930 <br />relating to flood protection, means the preparation of <br />additional sites by the construction of facilities for <br />servicing the lots on which the manufactured homes are to <br />be affixed (including the installation of utilities, the <br />construction of streets, and either final site grading or <br />the pouring of concrete pads). <br />"Floor", for purposes of County Code Chapter 930 relating <br />to flood protection, means the top:,surface of an enclosed <br />Coding: Words in • -• • type are deletions from existing law. <br />Words underlined are additions. <br />23 <br />
