ti 1/2/96 <ord\wli�elldoc�Ow <br />0 <br />ORDINANCE 96- 03 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AMENDING REGULATIONS GOVERNING <br />WHEELCHAIR SERVICES. <br />WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to regulate non -emergency <br />wheelchair transport services in Indian River County, and <br />WHEREAS, the degree of regulation can be at two different levels <br />with respect to government funded trips and private paid trips, <br />NOW, THEREFORE2 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,. that: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. <br />Section 301.14 is hereby amended as follows <br />Section 304.14. Certificate requirements . <br />1. The application, fees, investigation and other related <br />procedures and requirements of Part I of this chapter shall <br />apply with necessary modifications to wheelchair vehicle <br />services and shall be designated class "E" or "E1" certificate. <br />2. Any person who provides wheelchair vehicle services <br />where said services are paid for in part or in whole either <br />directly or indirectly with government funds shall be required <br />to have a class "E" certificate. <br />3. Any person who provides wheelchair vehicles services <br />where said services are not paid for in part or in whole <br />either directly or indirectly with government funds shall be <br />required to have a class "E1" certificate. <br />4. To obtain an "E" certificate a showing of need for the <br />service shall accompany the application.
