COMMISSIONER BOGOSIAN STATED HE WOULD BE IN FAVOR OF THIS <br />PROJECT IF THE•COUNTY LAND TO BE LEASED IS USED ONLY FOR CHARITABLE <br />PURPOSES, IF NOT THEN THIS LAND SHOULD BE TURNED BACK TO THE COUNTY. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT STATED HE WOULD BE IN FAVOR OF THIS <br />PROJECT. <br />.JACK SCHNEIDER APPEARED REQUESTING THE OPTION TO PURCHASE <br />THREE COUNTY OWNED LOTS IN FELLSMERE - LOTS 1,2, AND 16, BLOCK <br />81, <br />ATTORNEY BURCH STATED IT MUST BE DETERMINED DEFINITELY <br />THAT THE COUNTY OWNS THE LOTS. IF THE COUNTY DOES OWN THE LOTS, <br />ISR. SCHNEIDER CAN THEN SUBMIT A BID IN WRITING, WITH A CHECK <br />ENCLOSED AND BRING IT BACK TO THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. THE <br />BOARD WILL THEN DECIDE IF THEY WANT TO SELL THE LOTS IN QUESTION. <br />GLADYS VIGLIANO, WELFARE DIRECTOR REQUESTED WOOD PANELING <br />OF HER OFFICE AND PAINTING OF OTHER OFFICES IN THE WELFARE BUILDING. <br />IT WAS THE BOARD S DECISION TO PAINT ALL THE OFFICES AND NOT TO <br />WOOD PANEL THE WELFARE DIRECTORS OFFICE. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR PRESENTED THE ANNUAL REPORT FROM THE <br />PROGRESSIVE CIVIC LEAGUE OF GIFFORD, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY WHICH <br />LISTS A REQUEST FOR IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED IN THE GIFFORD AREA <br />ACCORDING TO RESPONSES FROM GIFFORD RESIDENTS. THE ADMINISTRATOR REVIEWED <br />THE ROAD IMPROVEMENT REQUESTS AND STATED THAT IN ALL FIVE REQUESTS <br />TO PAVE ROADS, WE DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT-OF-WAY. <br />COMMISSIONER BOGOSIAN STATED THAT REQUESTS FOR ROAD <br />IMPROVEMENT SHOULD NOT BE RECEIVED FROM THE PROGRESSIVE CIVIC <br />LEAGUE, BUT SHOULD BE THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE ADMINISTRATOR <br />AS TO WHAT ROADS SHOULD BE PAVED. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY SUGGESTED THAT THE ADMINISTRATOR FOLLOW THIS <br />UP AND TO MAKE A SURVEY OF THE AREAS WHERE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS SERVE <br />THE GREATEST NUMBER OF PEOPLE AND BRING BACK RECOMMENDATIONS. <br />-9- <br />4M, <br />
