CRANG III, AND .JETHRO K. CRANG IV, REPRESENTING <br />ROSEWOOD GROVES, INC. APPEARED AND INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THIS <br />PROPERTY HAS BEEN IN THE FAMILY FOR 50 YEARS AND REQUESTED THAT <br />IT NOT BE REZONED TO AGRICULTURE, BUT,LEFT AS R-1, SINGLE FAMILY. <br />STEVE HENDERSON, ATTORNEY APPEARED STATING HIS CLIENTS <br />WERE OPPOSED TO THE REZONING OF THEIR PROPERTY FROM R-1 TO <br />AGRICULTURE.. <br />DR. HERBERT KALE, REPRESENTING'THE PELICAN ISLAND <br />AUDUBON SOCIETY, APPEARED STATING THE AUDUBON SOCIETY FULLY SUPPORTS <br />THE CONCEPT OF THIS .PLAN FOR STATE ROAD 60. DR. KALE REQUESTED <br />THE BOARDS CONSIDERATION REGARDING A PARCEL OF LAND ON STATE ROAD <br />60 THAT WAS REZONED TO R-1MP, MOBILE HOME PARK AND C-1 COMMERCIAL <br />BACK IN APRIL 1972. DR. KALE FURTHER STATED THAT THIS PROPERTY <br />HAS BEEN SOLD AND IT IS HIS FEELINGS THAT THIS PROPERTY SHOULD BE <br />REZONED TO R-1 SINGLE FAMILY OR AGRICULTURE TO FIT INTO THE OVERALL <br />PLAN FOR STATE ROAD 60. <br />MR. BRENNAN STATED THAT A SITE PLAN WAS FILED ON THE <br />PROPERTY THAT DR. KALE REFERS TO AND ANY CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP MUST <br />BUILD TO:"CONFORM WITH SITE PLAN THAT WAS SUBMITTED OR COME BEFORE <br />THIS BOARD WITH A REVISED SITE PLAN. <br />GORDON SOWERS APPEARED IN OPPOSITION TO THE ZONING CHANGE <br />OF HIS PROPERTY FROM R-1 TO AGRICULTURE. <br />EUGENE SKINNER APPEARED IN OPPOSITION TO THE ZONING CHANGE <br />OF HIS PROPERTY FROM COMMERCIAL TO R-1, SINGLE FAMILY. <br />ARNOLD VAN LOON APPEARED IN OPPOSITION TO THE ZONING <br />CHANGE OF HIS PROPERTY FROM COMMERCIAL TO R-1, SINGLE FAMILY. <br />DEWEY WALKER, ZONING DIRECTION PRESENTED A LETTER FROM <br />.JAMES N. YOUNG REQUESTING THE NORTH' ACRES OF TRACT 4, <br />SECTION 1, TOWNSHIP 33S, RANGE 38E BE REZONED FROM R-1 SINGLE <br />FAMILY TO R-lE, COUNTY ESTATES, <br />THE BOARD STATED THAT THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />HAVE. DONE A FINE JOB, BUT WERE AMAZED AT THE VAST AMOUNT OF PROPERTY, <br />OTHER THAN THE "CORRIDOR" BEING REZONED AGRICULTURE.
