r <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER BOGOSIAN, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, THE STATE WITNESS PAYROLL" CIRCUIT COURT, <br />SPRING TERM, 1973, IN THE AMOUNT OF $206.601, WAS UNANIMOUSLY <br />APPROVED, <br />L.S. THOMAS LEFT THE MEETING. <br />MAYOR CHARLES ZIMMER AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN <br />.CITY COUNCIL, APPEARED TO DISCUSS WITH THE BOARD, WHY THE CITY <br />OF SEBASTIAN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PLANNING OF THE COUNTY -WIDE <br />SEWER AND WATER SYSTEM. UNDER PHASE 1, THE SEWER AND WATER LINES <br />WILL BE BUILT TO THE SEBASTIAN CITY LIMITS. <br />EUGENE CRAGG INFORMED THE BOARD THAT AT A PREVIOUS <br />MEETING.WITH THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR, .JACK G. .JENNINGS, AND <br />COUNTY .CONSULTING ENGINEER, .JAMES BEINDORF, THE SEBASTIAN <br />CITY COUNCIL WAS ASKED IF THEY WISHED TO BE A PART OF THE COUNTY- <br />WIDE SYSTEM AND THE SEBASTIAN CITY COUNCIL MID"EXPRESS AN:•.INTEREST. <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS LEFT THE MEETING AT 9:20 O'CLOCK <br />A.M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE SEBASTIAN CITY COUNCIL WERE INFORMED THAT <br />PHASE 1 HAD TO BE CUT SOMEWHERE, BUT IT WAS POSSIBLE THAT <br />SEBASTIAN WOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE NEXT PHASE. <br />MR. CRAGG INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THEY TRIED TO OBTAIN <br />A GRANT FROM THE FARMERS HOME ADMINISTRATION FOR AN ENGINEERING <br />STUDY TO DETERMINE THE COST OF BUILDING A SEWER AND WATER SYSTEM <br />W-ITH THE CITY, BUT WERE TOLD THAT GRANTS WERE.AVAILABLE AT THE <br />LOWEST LEVEL TO COUNTIES. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY RECOMMENDED THAT CITY OFFICIALS HAVE <br />THEIR ATTORNEY AND AN ENGINEER TO DO SOME PLANNING OF THE <br />COST OF CONSTRUCTING WATER AND SEWER LINES WITHIN THE CITY THAT <br />COULD BE HOOKED UP TO THE COUNTY LINES. <br />COMMISSIONER JIEBERT, SUGGESTED THAT THERE COULD BE THE <br />POSSIBILITY OF LOAN MONEY BEING AVAILABLE TO THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN <br />AND STATED THAT THIS BOARD WOULD ASSIST IN GETTING ANY MONEY <br />POSSIBLE. <br />-4- <br />eao�c 17 PAGE149 <br />
