ORDINANCE 2001- 022 <br />standard form, and shall be equally available to all interested <br />qualifying veterinarians and pet supply stores. <br />2. Section 302.02 of The Code of Indian River County, as set forth in Indian <br />River County Ordinance 91-51, is hereby amended to add the following definition <br />in alphabetical order: <br />Designated and approved pet supply store: Any pet supply store <br />that: <br />3. Section 302.03 of The Code of Indian River County, as set forth in Indian <br />River County Ordinance 91-51, is hereby amended to reflect the renumbering of <br />section 585.69, Florida Statutes, as follows: <br />Section 302.03. Annual vaccination and licensing requirement. <br />a. After the effective date of this chapter, it shall be unlawful <br />and subject to all penalties provided below for any person to own, <br />keep, harbor, maintain or have custody of any dog or cat which has <br />attained an age of four (4) months, unless such dog or cat has <br />been currently vaccinated, licensed, and collared or harnessed in <br />accordance with the following provisions. <br />b. Veterinarians shall provide the Indian River County Animal <br />Control authorities with a copy of the vaccination certificate <br />pursuant to Section 585.69 828.30, F.S. <br />SECTION II. CODIFICATION. <br />It is the intention of the Board of County Commissioners that the provisions of <br />this ordinance shall become and be made a part of the Indian River County <br />Code and the word "ordinance" may be changed to "section," "article," or other <br />appropriate word or phrase and the sections of this Ordinance may be <br />renumbered or relettered to accomplish such intention; providing, however, that <br />Sections II, III, and IV shall not be codified. <br />Coding: Words underscored are additions to text; words in str+l eegR format are <br />deletions to text. <br />a) Is <br />primarily <br />engaged <br />in <br />the <br />business <br />of selling <br />pet <br />supplies; <br />and <br />b) Facilitates <br />pet <br />vaccinations <br />by <br />licensed <br />veterinarians <br />in <br />Indian <br />River <br />County. <br />Florida; <br />and <br />c) Maintains <br />a <br />list <br />of <br />licensed <br />veterinarians <br />who <br />administer <br />said <br />vaccinations; <br />and <br />d) Provides <br />the <br />list <br />of <br />licensed <br />veterinarians <br />to the <br />Indian <br />River <br />County <br />Animal <br />Control <br />Division <br />along <br />with <br />a written <br />request <br />to <br />issue <br />animal <br />licenses. <br />3.
