Comprehensive Plan Coastal Management Element <br />accommodate. <br />(d) If there is no existing access channel that provides for adequate water <br />depth from the boat ramp to the ICW or to deeper water (i e , not maintenance <br />dredging) AND the site is not within or adjacent to a FDEP designated <br />Aquatic Preserve, then the proposed project may be authorized if the <br />following are complied with: <br />a. The area of new dredging shall not have a SAV coverage of greater <br />than ten (10) percent as determined using a scientifically acceptable <br />method of coverage determination and such determination is made <br />between the months of May through October; <br />b. The total length of new dredging shall not exceed 500 feet. <br />c. The boat ramp facility shall have informational signs in clear view of <br />boaters launching and landing vessels. Signs used to comply with this <br />section shall be in addition to any signs required by the regulatory agency. <br />Signs shall also be installed that warn boaters of the need to stay in the <br />channel. <br />d. The access channel shall be marked in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard <br />and FWC standards. <br />Policy 3.4: Within the unincorporated portion of Indian River County, private residential <br />marinas shall be permitted with administrative permit approval in the following Residential <br />Single-family (RS), and Residential Multi -family (RM) zoning districts: RS -1, RS -2, RS -3, <br />RS -6, RT -6, RM -3, RM -4, RM -6, RM -8, and RM -10. <br />Policy 3.5: Within the unincorporated portion of Indian River County, public/private <br />residential marinas shall be permitted with special exception approval in the following <br />Residential Single-family (RS), and Residential Multi -family (RM) zoning districts: RS -1, <br />RS -2, RS -3, RS -6, RT -6, RM -3, RM -4, RM -6, RM -8, and RM -10. <br />Policy 3.6: Within the unincorporated portion of Indian River County, recreational marinas <br />shall be permitted in general commercial (CG) and heavy commercial (CH) zoning districts. <br />Recreational marinas shall be permitted with special exception approval in the following <br />zoning districts* office -commercial -residential (OCR), neighborhood commercial (CN), and <br />limited commercial (CL). <br />Policy 3.7: Within the unincorporated portion of Indian River County, commercial marinas <br />shall be permitted in the following zoning districts* heavy commercial (CH), light industrial <br />Indian River County Coastal Management Element Page 107 <br />Supplement # Ordiance #2005-_ Adopted 2005 Exhibit B Page <br />
