HAMMON, REPRESENTING <br />THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION WERE PRESENT TO <br />RECEIVE THE PROCLAMATION FROM CHAIRMAN.LOY. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED <br />THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, COUNTY ATTORNEY, COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />AND THE FINANCE OFFICER TO ATTEND THE STATE ASSOCIATION OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE IN MIAMI, FLORIDA ON <br />SEPTEMBER 23RD - 26TH, 1973. <br />CHAIRMAN Loy INFORMED THE BOARD OF A LETTER FROM <br />WILLIAM MCCLURE, SUPERINTENDENT, INDIAN RIVER SCHOOL BOARD, <br />APPOINTING WARREN T. ZEUCH AND THOMAS R. .JONES TO THE TAX <br />ADJUSTMENT BOARD AND DESIGNATED RIVERS ANDERSON AND LOIS KRAMER <br />AS ALTERNATES. <br />ATTORNEY BURCH STATED THAT .JUDGE D.C.SMITH HAS <br />ISSUED ON ORDER STATING THAT THE JURY BOX FOR INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY IS IN DANGER OF BECOMING EXHAUSTED AND IT IS ESTIMATED <br />THAT AN ADDITIONAL 350 NAMES SHOULD BE PLACED IN THE JURY BOX. <br />ATTORNEY BURCH STATED THAT ROSEMARY RICHEY, SUPERVISOR <br />OF ELECTIONS IS PREPARING A LIST AND WILL PRESENT IT AT THE <br />NEXT BOARD MEETING. <br />ATTORNEY BURCH INFORMED THE BOARD OF A LETTER FROM <br />STEVE HENDERSON, ATTORNEY REQUESTING INFORMATION REGARDING THE <br />BOARD'S POLICY REGARDING THE TAPES OF THE PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER'SIEBERT, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING <br />POLICY REGARDING PUBLIC HEARING TAPES BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS: THE TAPES WILL BE RETAINED IN THE CLERKS OFFICE <br />FOR 6 MONTHS; THE TAPES WILL NOT LEAVE THE COURTHOUSE BUILDING; <br />ANY ORGANIZATION WISHING TO LISTEN TO THE TAPES OR MAKE THEIR <br />OWN TAPES WILL DO IT AT THEIR EXPENSE AND THEIR TIME. <br />- r <br />PAGE <br />Boot �� ZU <br />
