ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THAT A <br />CERTIFIED COPY OF THAT PORTION OF THE MINUTES PERTAINING TO <br />THE LETTER FROM THE UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION <br />AGENCY BE SENT TO MAYOR ROLAND MILLER. <br />PETE NOEL, REPORTER REPRESENTING WGYL RADIO STATION <br />APPEARED REQUESTING THE BOARD TO TAPE ALL COUNTY COMMISSION MEETINGS <br />AND TO SUPPLY SUPPORTIVE MATERIAL TO ":: REPORTERS PRIOR TO <br />COUNTY COMMISSION MEETINGS. MR. NOEL REQUESTED THAT THE NEWS <br />MEDIA RECEIVE SUPPORTIVE MATERIAL ON MONDAY BEFORE THE COUNTY <br />COMMISSION MEETING. THE COMMISSIONERS RECEIVE SUPPORTIVE MATERIAL <br />ON FRIDAY BEFORE THE COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING. <br />PHIL LONG, BUREAU CHIEF, THE MIAMI HERALD PUBLISHING <br />COMPANY STATED THAT SUPPORTIVE MATERIAL AND TAPING OF ALL MEETINGS <br />WOULD SERVE IN DOING A MORE EFFICIENT JOB OF SERVING THE COMMUNITY. <br />MICHAEL THOMAS REPRESENTING THE ORLANDO SENTINEL APPEARED <br />IN SUPPORT OF TAPING ALL MEETINGS AND RECEIVING BACKGROUND <br />INFORMATION PERTAINING TO ALL ITEMS ON THE AGENDA BEFORE THE <br />COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING. <br />THE BOARD INFORMED.THE REPORTERS THAT THEY HAD NO <br />OBJECTION TO THEIR TAPING THE COMMISSION MEETINGS WITH THEIR EQUIP- <br />MENT, BUT THE BOARD AGREED NOT TO TAPE THE FULL MEETING -AND WILL <br />CONTINUE WITH THEIR POLICY OF TAPING PUBLIC HEARINGS. IT WAS ALSO <br />STATED THAT THE COUNTY COMMISSION ROOM WILL BE RENOVATED IN THE <br />NEAR FUTURE AND AT THAT TIME THIS REQUEST WILL BE RECONSIDERED. <br />IT WAS THE FEELING OF THE BOARD REGARDING THE ISSUING <br />OF SUPPORTIVE MATERIAL TO REPORTERS IS THAT THIS INFORMATION MIGHT <br />BE USED BEFORE THE BOARD AS A GROUP HAS HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS <br />IT. <br />THE REPORTERS SUGGESTED TRYING IT ON A TRIAL BASIS, <br />THE BOARD DID AGREE TO THIS. <br />PETER SABONJOHN APPEARED REQUESTING APPROVAL TO REPLAT <br />YORKSHIRE SUBDIVISION. LOTS 4, 5, AND 6. <br />THE ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THIS IS <br />A VERY COMPLICATED SITUATION AND MR, SABONJOHN AND HIS ENGINEER <br />HAVE TRIED TO COMPLY WITH SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS. <br />THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WERE DISCUSSED: <br />1.
