EAGAN REPRESENTING THE KIWANIS- <br />HOBART PARK PROJECT APPEARED REQUESTING THE BOARDS APPROVAL <br />TO HIRE A FULL-TIME CARETAKER TO SUPERVISE KIWANIS-HOBART PARK. <br />IT WAS STATED THAT THERE HAS BEEN A MISUSE OF THE PARK FACILITIES <br />IN THAT THERE ARE MINI -BIKE RIDERS RIDING THROUGH THE PICNIC <br />AREA AND THERE HAS BEEN VANDALISM OF THE PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT. <br />MR. EAGAN STATED THAT KIWANIS HAS FUNDS AVAILABLE TO <br />PUT INTO THE PARK, BUT IS RELUCTANT TO DO SO WITHOUT FULL-TIME <br />SUPERVISION IN THE PARK, <br />THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATIONS WERE MADE BY THE <br />KIWANIS-HOBART PARK COMMITTEE IN ORDER TO KEEP THIS PARK PROJECT <br />MOVING: <br />1. FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE <br />2. HOUSING FOR EMPLOYEE AND FAMILY <br />3. EQUIPMENT: <br />TRUCK AND TWO-WAY RADIO <br />4. FENCING INSTALLED AROUND THE PERIMETER OF <br />THE PARK <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED REGARDING THE COST TO CONSTRUCT <br />A BUILDING TO HOUSE THE CARETAKER AND HIS FAMILY AND MR. EAGAN <br />AND MR. ARDEN BOTH AGREED THAT KIWANIS WOULD COOPERATE IN THE <br />FINANCING OF THIS BUILDING. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS, THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR WAS AUTHORIZED <br />TO HIRE A PARK CARETAKER FOR KIWANIS-HOBART PARK; INSTALL A <br />FENCE; AND ADVERTISE FOR BIDS ON A TRUCK AND TWO-WAY RADIO. THE <br />PARK COMMITTEE WAS AUTHORIZED TO PROCEED WITH PLANS FOR A HOUSE. <br />COMMISSIONER BOGOSIAN OPPOSED THAT PORTION OF THE MOTION <br />PERTAINING TO HOUSING AND FENCING THE PERIMETER OF THE PARK AND <br />APPROVED THAT PORTION PERTAINING TO HIRING A PARK CARETAKER <br />AND ADVERTISING FOR BIDS FOR A TRUCK AND TWO-WAY RADIO.
