Clerk <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED AMENDING RESOLUTION 75-61 WHICH CREATED THE <br />COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT AND PROVIDES THAT THE COUNTY PLANNING DIRECTOR <br />BE APPOINTED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. THE <br />NEW PROPOSED RESOLUTION STATED THAT THE PLANNING DIRECTOR SHALL BE HIRED <br />AND SERVE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE STATED THAT HE FEELS THE HIRING OF A PLANNING <br />DIRECTOR SHOULD BE APPROVED BY THE BOARD., <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROPOSED RESOLUTION <br />IS TO DECENTRALIZE THE AUTHORITY FROM THE BOARD AND GIVE IT TO THE COUNTY <br />ADMINISTRATOR. <br />CHAIRMAN Loy STATED THAT THIS IS A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, <br />AND AGREED THAT AFTER THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR MAKES HIS SELECTION; HE WOULD <br />MAKE HIS RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD FOR THEIR FINAL APPROVAL. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LOY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER'WODTKE, <br />THE BOARD _UNAN.IMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION 7629 WITH .'THE APPROPRIATE CHANGE. <br />
