9/24/ 90(LEGAL)Docst(TPB/sb) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90- 155 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, CREATING A HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />ADVISORY COMMITTEE. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statutes, the County has <br />adopted Land Development Regulations; and <br />WHEREAS, these regulations are voluminous and cover <br />many professional disciplines including historical and <br />archeological; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County has determined that it would be in the public <br />interest to create an advisory committee to advise the Board <br />regarding historical or archeological matters covered by the <br />Land Development Regulations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. There is hereby created a Historic Resources Advisory <br />Committee to be composed of 5 members who are residents <br />of Indian River County with membership as follows: <br />(a) At least one Florida licensed/registered architect <br />or engineer with knowledge of the preservation of <br />historic or archeological sites and structures; <br />(b) At least one member with practical experience in <br />one or more of the following fields: real estate, <br />planning, finance, engineering, law, building <br />construction, landscape architecture, historic <br />preservation or archeological research; <br />(c) At least one member of the Board of County <br />Commissioners. This elected official shall act as <br />the Chairman of the committee; and <br />(d) The remaining two positions shall be comprised of <br />citizens at large with a particular interest or <br />knowledge of historic and/or archeological <br />preservation, identification or designation. <br />2. The committee shall meet at the call of its chairman or <br />vice chairman and shall be advisory only. <br />3. The committee shall be charged specifically with the <br />duties set out in Chapter 902 of the Indian River <br />County Code. <br />
