TO ACCEPT THE BICYCLE MASTER PLAN IN PRINCIPLE. <br />Z. TO ACCEPT PHASE 1 OF THE MASTER PLAN <br />3. TO APPROVE FUNDING FOR PHASE 1. <br />4. TO PREPARE AN APPLICATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH <br />THE CITY OF VERO BEACH TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT <br />OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION FOR FEDERAL ANDSTATE FUNDING. <br />5. APPROVAL TO GET STARTED ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />THE BICYCLE MASTER PLAN BY AUGUST 1, 1974. <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED PRIORITIES AND IT WAS STATED <br />THAT BICYCLE PATHS COULD BE JUSTIFIED AS A PRIORITY IF THEY <br />WERE BUILT EXCLUSIVELY AROUND SCHOOLS, <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT QUESTIONED IF IT WOULD BE <br />ACCEPTABLE TO THE BICYCLE PATH COMMITTEE IF THE BOARD ACCEPTS <br />THE BICYCLE MASTER PLAN; MAKE APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, BUT <br />NOT COMMIT OURSELVES TO PHASE I AT THIS TIME. <br />CHAIRMAN Loy STATED THAT BASED ON THE FACT THAT THE <br />BOARD JUST RECEIVED THIS MATERIAL AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME <br />WE HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW THESE PLANS, SHE AGREED <br />WITH COMMISSIONER SIEBERT.
