SCHMIDT OPERATES AN EGG FARM, WHICH INCLUDES THE PROCESSINGi <br />AND PACKAGING OF EGGS, THIS BUSINESS HAS BEEN AT THIS LOCATION <br />FOR 20 YEARS AND MR, SCHMIDT HAS OWNED AND OPERATED IT SINCE <br />1969, <br />ATTORNEY BURCH STATED THAT THE USE OF THE LAND IN <br />PROCESSING AND PACKAGING EGGS IS A LEGIMATE USE IN AN M-1 <br />INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, BUT THE CHICKEN FARM I& AN AGRICULTURAL <br />USE AND THE PROPERTY SHOULD BE REZONED TO AGRICULTURE IN ORDER <br />TO CONFORM, IF THE PROPERTY IS REZONED TO AGRICULTURE THEN <br />THE PROCESSING AND PACKAGING OF EGGS WOULD BE AN ACCESSORY <br />USE AND A MOBILE HOME COULD BE APPROVED. <br />MR. SCHMIDT STATED THAT HE DID NOT WANT TO REZONE <br />HIS PROPERTY TO AGRICULTURE BECAUSE IN THE EVENT HE WANTED <br />TO SELL IT HE WOULD GET MORE MONEY IF IT WAS ZONED INDUSTRIAL, <br />THIS AREA IS NOW ZONED INDUSTRIAL BUT THERE IS <br />CONSIDERATION BEING GIVEN TO REZONING THIS GIFFORD AREA TO <br />AGRICULTURE, <br />A MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS, THAT 4 <br />THE BOARD GRANT THE REQUEST FOR A MOBILE HOME PERMIT NOT <br />TO EXCEED ONE YEAR, RENEWABLE AT THE DECISION OF THE BOARD. <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS STATED THAT THIS AREA HAS A QUESTION <br />MARK AS TO WHAT THE ZONING SHOULD BE AND IT WILL BE RESOLVED <br />IN ONE YEAR, <br />THIS MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. <br />E <br />APR 24 1974 eooK 19 <br />PA 64 <br />
