COMMISSIONER SIEBERT STATED THAT HE IS VERY <br />INTERESTED IN THIS PROJECT, BUT THERE ARE BILLS COMING BEFORE <br />THE LEGISLATURE THAT COULD -AFFECT THE REVENUE AND MILLAGE <br />OF THIS COUNTY AND THAT THERE ARE MANY PROJECTS THE COUNTY <br />•IS INTERESTED IN APPROVING AND FUNDING SUCH AS: TRANSIT <br />AUTHORITY, WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM, LAND ACQUISITION; COUNTY <br />FIRE PROTECTION; ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE PROGRAMS; BICYCLE <br />PATHS. HE SUGGESTED THAT THIS DECISION TO DESIGNATE THE <br />BOARD AS THE BILLING AGENT FOR THE 911 SYSTEM BE POSTPONED <br />UNTIL BUDGET TIME, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY SIX WEEKS AWAY, IN <br />ORDER TO DECIDE PRIORITIES AND THE FUNDING OF THESE PROGRAMS. <br />CHAIRMAN Loy STATED THAT WE WILL BE GOING INTO <br />BUDGET SESSION NEXT MONTH, AND THIS BOARD IS EXTREMELY IMPRESSED <br />WITH THE LEARNING OF THIS PROJECT, <br />THE BOARD AGREED THAT THIS PROJECT BE PRESENTED <br />TO THE CITY OF FELLSMERE FOR THEIR REACTION. THIS 911 EMER- <br />GENCY SYSTEM HOLDS A HIGH PRIORITY FOR THE CITIZENS OF THIS <br />COMMUNITY, AND THE BOARD AGREED TO HOLD THIS DECISION IN <br />ABEYANCE UNTIL BUDGET SESSIONS ARE HELD, <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS STATED THAT HE WOULD LIKE <br />PSR. PARKER TO COMPILE INFORMATION AS FAR AS ANTICIPATED COST <br />AND PROPOSED BREAKDOWN OF MUNICIPALITIES SO WE CAN KNOW WHAT <br />THEY WOULD CONTRIBUTE TO THIS PROGRAM. <br />THE BOARD AGREED THAT A WRITTEN PROPOSAL INDICATING <br />COSTS BE PREPARED AND PRESENTED TO THE BOARD TO BE CONSIDERED <br />AT THEIR BUDGET SESSIONS. <br />4 <br />MAY 2 2197 t ; . <br />
