r <br />BOARD AND HAVE THIS LAND REZONED TO AGRICULTURAL ZONING. <br />MR. .JAMES BEINDORF, ENGINEER,'DISCUSSED THE WATER �E- <br />SOURCES OF THIS PROJECT,•ESPECIALLY WITH REGARD TO THE RETENTION <br />OF STORM WATERS, POTENTIAL SHALLOW WELL SUPPLY, AND POSSIBLE USE <br />OF THE DEEP WATER AQUIFER WHICH WOULD REQUIRE A PERMIT FROM THE <br />CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN FLORIDA FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT. <br />MR. STEVE STINE WAS PRESENT REPRESENTING THE EAST CENTRAL <br />FLORIDA REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL. CHAIRMAN LOY ASKED WHETHER <br />HE FELT THIS PROJECT WOULD HAVE ANY REGIONAL AFFECT, <br />MR. STINE SAID HE DID NOT FEEL IT WOULD NOW, BUT MIGHT <br />POSSIBLY ,IN THE FUTURE, AND SAID THEIR STUDIES OF. THE SOILS IN <br />h <br />THE PROJECT FOUND THAT MANY OF THEM WERE NOT GOOD FOR <br />RECHARGE. <br />IT WAS POINTED OUT TO MR. STINE THAT THE PROJECT <br />HAS BEEN CHANGED, THE DENSITY IS LOWER, AND THAT APPROXIMATELY <br />80%OF THIS AREA IS OPEN WHEREAS ONLY 4O%IS REQUIRED. MR. STINE <br />AGREED THIS CHANGED THE PICTURE. <br />MR.LYLE ROSS OF THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT COMMENTED ON <br />THE -AFFECT OF THIS PROJECT*ON THE 'SCHOOL SYSTEM AND STATED THAT <br />BASED ON THE 2.6 POPULATION PER'UNIT FIGURE, THIS COULD POSSIBLY <br />GENERATE 900 STUDENTS. <br />MR. WILLIAM GEORGE, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS <br />SAID A PROJECT OF THIS SIZE WAS BOUND TO HAVE AN AFFECT ON <br />THE SCHOOL SYSTEM, BUT IF THIS WAS PLANNED TO BE PARTLY AN <br />ADULT COMMUNITY, IT SHOULD LESSEN THE AFFECT SOMEWHAT. <br />MR. HARRY MCGImus, ENVIRONMENTAL.PLANNER, GAVE.A <br />REPORT ON THE HYDROLOGY OF THE AREA AND SHOWED SOME CONCERN <br />ABOUT THE POSSIBLE USE OF THE DEEP WATER AQUIFER. <br />MRS.
