SYSTEM IN THE COUNTY COMMISSION ROOM AND THE AD- <br />MINISTRATOR WAS AUTHORIZED TO INVESTIGATE THIS AND BRING A <br />RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE PROJECT <br />REVIEW COMMITTEE OF THE EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA REGIONAL PLANNING <br />COUNCIL HAS TWO MEMBERS FROM THE COUNTY SERVING ON THIS <br />COMMITTEE, VAL BRENNAN AND PAT FLOOD, AND SHE HAS REQUESTED <br />THEM TO RECOMMEND ALTERNATES TO SERVE ON -THIS COMMITTEE IN <br />THE EVEW THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND A MEETING. ROBERT BERG <br />AND MAYOR CRAGG WERE THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER DRITENBAS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPOINTED <br />MAYOR EUGENE F. CRAGG AND ROBERT BERG TO SERVE AS ALTERNATES <br />ON THE PROJECT REVIEW COMMITTEE. <br />COMMISSIONER BOGOSIAN RETURNED TO THE MEETING <br />AT 3:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED A DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY, <br />CORPS OF ENGINEER PERMIT APPLICATION 74G-0675 FROM THE TOWN <br />INDIAN RIVER SHORES, THE APPLICANT, TO CONSTRUCT A CULVERTED <br />FILL ACROSS A SLOUGH IPJ A FORMER MOSQUITO CONTROL IMPOUNDMENT <br />FOR A FUTURE ROADWAY AND TO RUN A WATERMAIN, AND AN ELECTRICAL <br />CONDUIT TO THE EAST BANK OF THE INDIAN RIVER. <br />INDIAN RIVER SHORES RESIDENTS AND OTHER INTERESTED <br />CITIZENS APPEARED TO OPPOSE THIS APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT. <br />THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR INFORMED THESE CITIZENS <br />THAT THE COMMISSION'S POLICY REGARDING SUCH APPLICATIONS, <br />WAS TO APPROVE THE PERMIT SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF OTHER <br />GOVERNMENTAL REGULATORY BOARDS, <br />CHAIRMAN LOY EXPLAINED THAT THIS APPLICATION WAS <br />SUBMITTED BY THE TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER SHORES AND THE TOWNI,OF <br />INDIAN RIVER SHORES IS THE GOVERNING BODY.
