HERBERT KALE, APPEARED AND STATED THAT HE <br />WAS AWARE OF THE COUNTY'S.POLICY, BUT STATED THE COMMISSIONERS <br />SHOULD BE INVOLVED BECAUSE THEY ARE ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE <br />I.N THE CITY AS WELL AS THE COUNTY. DR. KALE THEN WENT ON <br />TO -SPEAK IN OPPOSITION TO THIS PROPOSED PROJECT AND STATED <br />THAT NO BRIDGE COULD BE BUILT TO MAKE USE OF THIS ROADWAY, <br />SINCE THE CROSSING -WOULD BE LOCATED IN "CLASS.11" WATERS, WHICH <br />MEANS WATERS DESIGNATED FOR PRESERVATION. WATER WITH A LOWER <br />PROTECTION PRIORITY LIES JUST TO THE SOUTH AND WOULD BE BETTER <br />SUITED FOR A BRIDGE. <br />.JOHN MORRISON, A RESIDENT OF THE TOWN OF INDIAN <br />RIVER SHORES APPEARED AND MADE HIS PRESENTATION OPPOSING <br />THIS PROJECT AND REQUESTED THE BOARD TO INFORM THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF THE ARMY, CORPS OF ENGINEERS TO FURTHER INVESTIGATE THIS <br />SITUATION AND AVOID GIVING TACIT APPROVAL TO THE APPLICATION <br />BY SIMPLY SENDING IT BACK TO THE CORPS. <br />l ROBERT F.
