!�Y <br />L.S, "TOMMY" THOMAS, COUNTY COORDINATOR WAS INSTRUCTED <br />BY THE CHAIRMAN TO PREPARE'A LIST OF ALL COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY <br />FOR THE NEWLY ELECTED COMMISSIONERS <br />MR. THOMAS INFORMED THE BOARD OF A LETTER RECEIVED FROM <br />THE DIVISION OF HEALTH WHICH STATED THAT THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO <br />FUND THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$10,700.00. THE COUNTY WILL MATCH THESE FUNDS WITH FUNDS FROM <br />FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING. <br />CHAIRMAN Loy INFORMED THE BOARD THAT .JACK .JENNINGS, <br />VAL BRENNAN AND HERSELF HAVE INVESTIGATED THE POSSIBILITY OF <br />SECURING GOVERNMENT SURPLUS PROPERTY LOCATED ON RANCH ROAD, NORTH <br />OF STATE ROAD 60. ORIGINALLY THE BOARD HAD INDICATED THAT <br />POSSIBLY WE COULD QUALIFY TO RECEIVE THIS PROPERTY, BUT SINCE THAT <br />TIME CHAIRMAN Loy, MR, JENNINGS AND MR. BRENNAN HAVE VISITED <br />THIS PROPERTY AND FOUND THAT WE DO NOT QUALIFY AND THAT GENERAL <br />SERVICES ADMINISTRATION SHOULD BE NOTIFIED BY THE COUNTY ADMINIS- <br />TRATOR THAT THE COUNTY HAS DETERMINED IT HAS NO FURTHER INTEREST <br />IN THIS PROPERTY. <br />CHAIRMAN Loy STATED THAT THE DIVISION OF FORESTRY <br />HAS EXPRESSED AN INTEREST IN THIS PROPERTY FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF A FIRE TOWER. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DRITENBAS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO NOTIFY THE GENERAL <br />SERVICES ADMINISTRATION THAT THE COUNTY HAS NO FURTHER INTEREST <br />IN THE GOVERNMENT SURPLUS PROPERTY LOCATED ON RANCH ROAD, BUT <br />THAT WE UNDERSTAND THE DIVISION OF FORESTRY COULD USE THE PROPERTY. <br />AT THE OCTOBER 23, 1974 MEETING THE BOARD AGREED TO ACCEPT <br />AND READ ANYTHING PRESENTED IN WRITING REGARDING THE PROPOSED ONE- <br />WAY PAIRS. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY REPORTED THAT SHE AND THE ADMINISTRATOR, `'1R. <br />JENNINGS HAD REVIEWED THE ONE-WAY PAIRS PROJECT WITH DEPARTMENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION OFFICIALS IN FORT LAUDERDALE, ON MONDAY, OCTOBER <br />28, 1974 AND FOUND THAT THE D.O.T. HAD MADE SEVERAL CHANGES <br />INCORPORATING RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD AND THE DOWN- <br />TOWN MERCHANTS AS A RESULT OF PUBLIC MEETINGS.
