THOMAS, COUNTY COORDINATOR TO ATTEND A NATIONAL <br />ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES -'COUNCIL ON INTERGOVERNMENTAL <br />I <br />s COORDINATORS AND STATE ASSOCIATION DIRECTORS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. <br />ON DECEMBER 8TH - 11TH, 1974 <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED A LETTER FROM ROBERT. -W, .JENNINGS, <br />DIRECTOR OF SANITATION WITH._THE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT REGARDING <br />CHAPTER 17-13.01 (4) OF THE SEPTIC TANK CODE. MR. JENNINGS STATED <br />THAT IN AN ATTEMPT TO LIGHTEN THE BURDEN OF HOME BUILDERS HE HAS <br />WAIVED CHAPTER 17-13.01 (4) AND INSTITUTED A PROCEDURE ALLOWING <br />FOOTERS TO BE POURED IN NATURAL -GROUND BEFORE REQUIRED FILL IS <br />PUT ON THE LOT. THIS PROCEDURE, ACCORDING TO MR. JENNINGS, HAS <br />NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL. <br />MR. JENNINGS IS REQUESTING SUGGESTIONS AND COMMENTS FROM <br />THE BOARD IN ORDER TO RE-EVALUATE THIS PROCEDURE. <br />COMMISSIONER DRITANBAS STATED THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO <br />y VOLUNTEER TO MEET WITH THE SANITATION DIRECTOR, BUILDING DEPARTMENT, <br />PLUMBING INSPECTORS TO WORK TOWARDS A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />BOGOSIAN, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO ANSWER THIS LETTER <br />FROM MR. .JENNINGS, DIRECTOR OF SANITATION, AND ACCEPT COMMISSIONER <br />DRITENBAS' REQUEST TO'SERVE:_ ON THIS COMMITTEE. <br />THE HOUR OF 11:00 O'CLOCK A.M.
