Schumann, Jr. who on oath <br />says that he is Business Manager of the Vero Beach Press-Joumal, a weekly newspaper published <br />at Vero Beach in Indian River County, Florida; that the attached copy of advertisement, being <br />in the matter of <br />_In the Court, was pub- <br />lished in said newspaper in the issues of <br />Affiant further says that the said Vero Beach Press -Journal is a newspaper published at <br />Vero Beach, in said Indian River County, and that the said newspaper has heretofore <br />been continuously published in said Indian River County, Florida, weekly and has been entered <br />as second class mail matter at the post office in Vero Beach, in said Indian River County, Florida <br />for a period of one year next preceeding the first publication of the attached copy of adver- <br />tisement; and affiant further says that he has neither paid nor promised any person, firm or <br />corporation any discount, rebate, commission or refund for the purpose of securing this adver- <br />tisement for publication in the said newspaper. <br />Swam to and subscribed before me this <br />(SEAL) <br />MAR 5 1975 <br />(Business Man <br />.40e/f 4424.1- <br />(CIof the Oat& Court, Indian River County, Florida) <br />NOTICE <br />NOTICE 1S HEREBY GIVEN <br />that the Board of County Com- <br />missionersof Indian River County, <br />Florida, will hold a public hearing <br />on March 5, 1975, at 11:00 A.M. <br />o'clock In the Indian River County <br />Courthouse to consider adoption of <br />a proposed County Ordinance <br />establishing new Subdivision <br />Regulations for Indian River <br />County, Florida. <br />F Board of County <br />Commissioner§ <br />Indian River County <br />Florida <br />By: Alma Lee Loy <br />Chairman . <br />Feb. 23, 1975. <br />•a <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF ANYONE PRESENT WISHED TO BE HEARD. <br />VAL BRENNAN, PLANNING DIRECTOR; ROBERT BERG, ASSISTANT <br />PLANNING DIRECTOR; AL ¥ANDA, AND ROBERT "FLIP" LLOYD, ENGINEERS <br />WERE PRESENT FOR THIS DISCUSSION. <br />THIS ORDINANCE AS ORIGINALLY PROPOSED REQUIRED THAT CURBS <br />AND GUTTERS BE CONSTRUCTED ON ALL STREETS, HOWEVER, THE SUBDIVISION <br />REVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDED THAT THIS BE REVISED SO THAT IT BE <br />OPTIONAL TO THE DEVELOPER. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT STATED THAT HE WAS IN FAVOR OF LEAVING <br />THE OPTION TO REQUIRE CURBS AND GUTTERS UP -TO THE COUNTY COMMISSIONER <br />AND NOT UP TO THE DEVELOPERS. <br />THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR STATED THAT WITH THE PRESENT <br />ECONOMIC SITUATION, IT WAS THE FEELING OF THE COMMITTEE THAT IT <br />WOULD MAKE REQUIRING CURBS AND GUTTERS, WHICH SOMETIMES DOUBLES <br />THE COST OF CONSTRUCTING A ROAD, A HARDSHIP TO THE DEVELOPER. <br />
