At that time the Council listened to comments by <br />several residents of the area and concerned taxpayers, all <br />of whom expressed their strong objections to this proposed <br />expenditure. <br />In response to the overwhelming negative reaction of <br />these citizens, the Council has instructed me to notify the <br />County Commission that the City of Vero Beach contemplates <br />210 further action toward acquisition of .these lots. We ap- <br />preciate very much the County's action to contribute $62,500 <br />toward purchase of these lots.
