CHAIRMAN LOY INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS HAVE <br />COMPLETED THEIR STUDY ON BEACH EROSION AND THEY ARE READY TO MAKE THEIR <br />PRESENTATION AT A PUBLIC HEARING. THEY HAVE SOME FIVE OR SIX ALTERNATIVES <br />TO PROPOSE. THE PUBLIC HEARING HAS BEEN SCHEDULED BY THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS <br />FOR JUNE 1OTH, 1975 AT 7:30 O'CLOCK AT CITY HALL. <br />THE BOARD AGREED THAT THERE SHOULD BE INPUT AS TO WHAT THE <br />ALTERNATIVES WILL BE AND THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS SUGGESTED A MEETING WITH <br />THE BOARD SO THAT THEY CAN REVIEW WHAT IS AVAILABLE BEFORE THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />THEY HAVE SUGGESTED MAY 21ST OR 22ND, 1975 AT 7:30 O'CLOCK P.M. THE <br />BOARD AGREED ON MAY 21ST, 1975 AT 7:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT REGARDING THE DIVISION OF CORRECTIONS <br />OBTAINING BUILDING PERMITS AND FOLLOWING OUR ZONING REGULATIONS WHEN BUILD- <br />ING <br />UILDING THE FIRST OFFENDER'S PRISON IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, HE HAD TELEPHONED <br />THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE STATE DOES NOT HAVE TO <br />OBTAIN BUILDING PERMITS. REGARDING THEIR FOLLOWING THE ZONING REGULATIONS, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT HE HAS WRITTEN A LETTER TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S, <br />OFFICE FOR AN OPINION OF FLORIDA STATUTE 553 - ON WHETHER OR NOT THE STATE <br />OF FLORIDA SHOULD ABIDE BY COUNTY ZONING REGULATIONS. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY SUGGESTED THAT A LETTER BE WRITTEN TO THE DIVISION <br />OF CORRECTIONS REQUESTING THEM TO UTILIZE THE SERVICES OF OUR BUILDING <br />DEPARTMENT, WHICH WOULD BE TO THEIR BENEFIT AND TO THE BENEFIT OF THE <br />COUNTY. <br />THE BOARD AGREED THA T THE COUNTY ATTORNEY WILL WRITE A LETTER <br />TO -01.J. KELLER, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES; LOUIS <br />WAINWRIGHT, DIVISION OF CORRECTIONS AND DAVE BACHMANN, DIVISION OF CORRECTIONS <br />AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE CHESTER E. CLEM. <br />THE SEVERAL BILLS AND ACCOUNTS AGAINST THE COUNTY, HAVING BEEN <br />AUDITED, WERE EXAMINED AND FOUND TO BE CORRECT WERE APPROVED AND WARRANTS <br />ISSUED IN SETTLEMENT OF SAME AS FOLLOWS: GENERAL FUND Nos. 4223 - 4298 <br />INCLUSIVE; ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND Nos. 2235 - 2268 INCLUSIVE; FINE AND <br />FORFEITURE FUND Nos. 882 - 890 INCLUSIVE; CAPITAL OUTLAY FUND Nos <br />175- 176.
