JUNE 4, 1975 AT .8:30 O'CLOCK A.M. PRESENT WERE <br />ALMA LEE LOY, CHAIRMAN; WILLARD W. SIEBERT, JR., VICE CHAIRMAN; EDWARD <br />J. MASSEY; WILLIAM C. WODTKE, JR.; AND EDWIN S. SCHMUCKER. ALSO PRESENT <br />WERE PAUL D. BURCH, ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; JACK <br />G. JENNINGS, COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR; AND ELIZABETH FORLANI, DEPUTY CLERK. <br />L.S. "TOMMY" THOMAS, COUNTY COORDINATOR WAS ON VACATION AND JACK HOCKMAN, <br />DEPUTY CLERK WAS ABSENT. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER.. <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY LED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br />AND REVEREND JILES B. LUNSFORD FROM THE FOREST PARK BAPTIST CHURCH, <br />GAVE THE INVOCATION. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT INTRODUCED C. WILLIAM MAURER, EDITOR <br />OF INDIAN RIVER LIFE INC. AND BARRETT ALLEY, PUBLISHER OF INDIAN RIVER <br />LIFE, INC. <br />MR. MAURER STATED THAT THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY NAMED THE <br />INDIAN RIVER LIFE MAGAZINE AS THE OFFICIAL MAGAZINE FOR THE FIFTIETH <br />ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AND HE PRESENTED AN <br />ORIGINAL LETTER FROM PRESIDENT GERALD R. FORD COMMEMORATING THIS EVENT. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY ACCEPTED THE FRAMED LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT <br />OF THE UNITED STATES. <br />CHAIRMAN LOY THEN ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY ADDITIONS OR <br />CORRECTIONS TO THE MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF MAY 19, 1975; <br />THERE WERE NONE. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL <br />MEETING OF MAY 19TH, 1975, AS WRITTEN. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY ADDITIONS OR CORRECTION <br />TO THE MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF MAY 21, 1975. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER REQUESTED ON PAGE 16, SECOND <br />PARAGRAPH, THE WORDS, "IN WABASSO" BE ADDED TO THAT SENTENCE. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE REQUESTED ON PAGE 19, FOURTH LINE, <br />THE WORDS "AMBULANCE SQUAD" BE CHANGED TO READ "SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT". <br />9no 23 PASE lit <br />
