ATTORNEY BURCH STATED THAT IT WAS AGREED AT THE LAST BOARD <br />MEETING THAT WE DO NOT NEED A FULL TIME CIVIL DEFENSE DIRECTOR, BUT IN <br />ESTABLISHING A SALARY, IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT A FULL TIME DIRECTOR BE PAID <br />$12,000 ANNUALLY, AND MR. JACKSON IS TO BE INSTRUCTED THAT THE CIVIL DEFENSE <br />DIRECTOR FOR INDIAN RIVER COUNTY WILL BE A PART TIME DIRECTOR AT A SALARY <br />OF $6,000. THE STATE WILL REIMBURSE THE COUNTY $3,000. WE HAVE AN INDI- <br />CATION THAT THE STATE WILL WORK WITH THIS COUNTY TO TRY AND REMEDY THE <br />CLERICAL PORTION THAT IS IN QUESTION. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED THAT THE SALARY FOR A FULL TIME CIVIL <br />DEFENSE DIRECTOR FOR INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BE ESTABLISHED AT $12,000.00 AN- <br />NUALLY AND THAT A CIVIL DEFENSE DIRECTOR BE HIRED ON A PART TIME BASIS <br />AT A SALARY OF $6,000.00 ANNUALLY. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT STATED THAT IT HAS BEEN INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY'S INTENTION THAT THE CIVIL DEFENSE DIRECTOR BE A PART TIME EMPLOYEE <br />TO CARRY OUT DUTIES AT THE DIRECTION OF THIS BOARD. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, THE BAORD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED RETROACTIVE OUT -OF -COUNTY TRAVEL <br />FOR THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR AND COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER TO ATTEND A <br />REGIONAL PLANNING DISTRICT MEETING IN WEST PALM BEACH ON JUNE 13, 1975. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION 75-32 AND 75-33 AND <br />AUTHORIZED THE SIGNATURE OF THE CHAIRMAN ON THE CONTRACTS FOR THE RESTORA- <br />TION PROJECT OF THE ROSELAND DOCK IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,300.00 AND THE BUILDIN <br />OF A BOAT RAMP AT THE WEST CAUSEWAY OF THE WABASSO BRIDGE IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$6,486.00. <br />8 <br />JUN 181975 <br />inn' <br />pt`- 7 <br />
