r 22 <br />Ctrs. W. A. Simonson appeared before the Board respecting rent on property in which <br />machinery of Lawrence Construction Company is stored. After due consideration, on mot i <br />made, seconded and carried to Board refused to pay any rent on this property. <br />Chas. E. Berg appeared before the Board regarding the placing of County insurance <br />policies for the ensuing year. <br />The mothers' pension application of Mrs Elva J. Snell of Vero Beach was received <br />read, filed and accepted and ordered she be placed on the list to receive $25.00 per <br />month until further orders of the Board. <br />The sum of $139.60 was received from the County Engineer on account of sale of <br />culvert pipe to individuals. It was ordered placed in the Road and Bridge Fund of the <br />County. <br />John W.E.Wheeler, representing the Walter S. Buckingham Insurance .Agency appeared <br />before the Board, together with J. Douglass Baker, a member of the insurance Board of <br />Vero Beach respecting the placing of County insurance policies for the ensuing year. It <br />wqe ordered that the matter of insurance be taken up 'on Burch, 17th with a view of <br />re -valuations being placed on County machinery. <br />The Notary Public bond of P. B. Gallagher, in the sum of $500.00 with the American <br />Surety Company, a corporation of New York was approved. <br />County Agent W.E.EvansrWi filed his monthly report of activities as County Agri cul- <br />tural .fig a nt . <br />It was ordered thAt no closed season on fresh water fishing in Indian River County <br />be invoked, there being no fish in freshwaters in the County except in lakes and <br />artificial canals. <br />As provided by law the Confederate Pension list of the State of Florida, for this <br />County, was Oxamined and found. to be correct was approved and forwarded to the State <br />Board of Pensions. <br />There appearing to be an error in assessment of property described as sots 1 and 2 <br />Eastview Company Subdivision for arrears for the years 1926--1927 and 1928, on the 1929" <br />tax roll, it <br />was ordered that the <br />taxes for these omitted years <br />be listed on the Tax <br />Collector's <br />report of errors and <br />insolvencies to be approved by <br />this Board. <br />Mr. J. W. LaBruce, County Commissioner, who was absent during the session appeared, <br />and requested that Alfred Gesirgt Fellsmere, be placed on the pauper list, he appearing t <br />the satisfaction of the County Commissioners and the County Nurse that he is in need of <br />assistance. It was ordered that is Mr. Gesing be placed on the pauper list to receive <br />the sun of $15.00 per month until further orders of this Board. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examine <br />and found to be correct and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. The said bill <br />and accounts as approved being on file in the Clerk's office. The warrant so drawn,. in <br />settlement of the <br />accounts <br />against <br />the <br />various funds <br />being listed completely in the <br />Count <br />Finance Record as <br />provided <br />by law, <br />and <br />reference to <br />such County Finance record and <br />the <br />list so recorded is made a part of these minutes as fully and completely as if the said <br />warrants were set out herein in detail. <br />The County depositories filed their monthly statements, showing receipts and dis- <br />bursements for the month of February, which having been check were found to be correct. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />adjourned until Tuesday, March 18th at 10 o'clock A.M. <br />ATTEST <br />C l e r k. <br />1 <br />i <br />
