SEP 3.1975 <br />RESOLUTI O N <br />The Government Study Committee of Indian River County, <br />Florida, in meeting assembled, <br />RESOLVES: <br />1. This Committee does herewith adopt the attached STUDY <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY GOVERNMENT: ITS ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION, <br />as its report of its examination of county government in Indian <br />River County, Florida, and does herewith submit that report to the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida. <br />2. The Committee recommends that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, adopt a Resolution <br />declaring that a Charter Commission shall be appointed by it for <br />the purpose of conducting a comprehensive study of the operation <br />of county government and of the ways in which the conduct of county <br />government might be improved or reorganized with directions that <br />the Charter Commission present to the Board of County Commissioners <br />a proposed charter for Indian River County which shall give Indian <br />River County all powers of local self-government after approval by <br />vote of the electors of the county, all as provided for by Section <br />1 of Article VIII of the Constitution of the State of Florida and <br />Sections 125.60 through 125.64, Florida Statutes. <br />3. This Committee has completed its assigned duties as set <br />forth in Resolution No. 75-19 adopted by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida. <br />Smith, Heath & Smith, Attorneys At Law, P. 0.
